adder to be fair to Lowe, wasn't he baited into acknowledging the committed player by name by some reporter? I personally think it's stupid that coaches can't talk about prospects, even those that they aren't recruiting.

Lowe was totally baited by the reporter when he said it but maybe that is why he is being so careful now when he is hinting. I dunno I still think he might have one more big name for next season and that is why he is mentioning this. Most fans already know about the rest of the class I mean it is ranked by all the recruiting sites.

all Lowe said was a recruit named CJ. he didn't specify CJ Williams or CJ Leslie. at the time CJ Williams had signed his letter of intent and therefore Lowe could mention his name all he wanted

South Carolina's class while good for them, wouldn't be the type of class that we would need to get to elite level status. It's a class that will make them competitive in the lowly SEC and probably get them into the NCAA tournament. I expect UVA and South Carolina's classes to move down into the teens once all is finished. That still is a major accomplishment for programs that haven't done much in their history.

If we get Leslie we would vault to #2 in pretty much all of the rankings, unless UNC gets Barnes, which would probably make them #1. I've come to the realization that we probably won't pass tOSU even if we do get Leslie. I think what really matters though is that we have gotten back-to-back top 25 classes (the 09 class still would probably be top 25 even with the loss of Brown). You look at the top programs they all have great players as well as great coaching. Hopefully Lowe will appear to be a great coach once he gets his type of players in.

A lot of people think he'll end up at Dook. K has no problem dealing with handlers like Brian Clifton after getting his ass kicked the last few years. If not Dook then probably UK.

haha, here we go again. state fans get their hopes up and the media hype begins. "NC State Could Make Big Splash in ACC" or "Brown and Harrow...ACC's BEST backcourt?" Then we finish 11th...wash, rinse, repeat. Same old story. I'll keep my hopes extremely low until something ACTUALLY happens. I will never get my hopes up for another state team until I see some proof they'll be good. The 2007 bball team and this year's fball team have taught me that.

Irving to Duke:

This time around, Kyrie Irving checks in at the No. 5 overall prospect and No. 2 point guard. Next fall his legacy will begin in Durham.

In front of a television audience, Irving selected the Blue Devils after considering Kentucky and Texas A&M. Ironically, it was UK that Duke bested for Duke the last time it recruited a national title winning point guard.
