Killed some hockey betting tonight, 4-4! So apparently there is an issue on centsports where the soccer lines aren't correct. Due to them not allowing for a draw option they change a line that would typically be for example -.5 (-130) to +.5 (-130). So it gives you a big advantage. Basically bet the soccer lines the top balance guy bets. I've gone with him the past two days and made 40$ on his last two bets, woo

Well, to my understanding in soccer there really is a big homefield advantage. I didn't just take the picks of the top people, I went through each league and looked at standings and schedules to make my picks, then compared. Apparently the big loophole is through the fact that the line you are betting on is +.5, not -.5, so it gives a big advantage. Its something that centsports probably will eventually fix.

And really to be honest I don't know all that much about the NBA or NHL. CFB, NFL and CBB are the only sports I really make more educated picks on. But I think I've done pretty well in all five of those sports historically on centsports

Theres no reason to bet the other soccer games. The +.5 lines are basically giving you a better line for the team to win or draw then the line to outright win. Take for example this game:

TSG 1899 Hoffenheim +.5 (+110) ML: Even
VFL Wolfsburg +.5 (-150) ML: +250

Its absurd basically. I can't imagine this is something centsports will let continue for too long. I have a feeling all this weekends soccer bets will be the last of it as a ton of people are jumping all over them.

In addition to your record, you need to put out your record weighted by how much you bet. You can hit all your 5 star bets, but if you didn't put enough money behind them, you can still lose money.


Which implies a more important point -- if you aren't willing to put a lot of money on them, you shouldn't consider them 5 star bets. How you weighed each bet tells us more about your confidence than the star ratings. Without this, it's like playing poker with no money -- completely meaningless and unreliable.

I wouldnt say worthless... the knowledge of the pick itself is worth something, its not like I am betting every single game and just have to pick one team or the other


and the star system is typically somewhat proportional to how much I bet, but its really how strong the play itself seems, or how much all the trends point towards it...



and a bonus bball pick, like UT-Chattanooga +18 vs. UT

Chatt. is a solid team, UT is going to take a while to get going with so many new starters

^^ Yeah I research them about 2 minutes each and make a decision. Then I compare my decision and so far I've been almost identical to the top money guy. The only game that we had differing opinions on I actually would've won, though I didn't bet it.

The soccer lines are ridiculous. The top list has gone from like 450-250 to 600-375 this weekend. People are making so much money off them its not even funny. Look at mostly anyone and they are making money off them. Personally I think they need to go, despite the fact that I have made a killing on them already.
