lol. Well here's a shorter one in english. And the random menu button placement is going to be annoying. Some apps it's at the top, some are at the bottom of the app, and others cause a 4th icon to appear to the right of the task switcher soft key.

i would almost get the RAZR, but I hate the look of the corners and knowing Motorola, ICS isn't coming to the phone until next summer.... I just can't get myself to buy a phone with 2.3 on it. Well that and Samsung has such good success with the Galaxy series, I have really high hopes for the Galaxy Nexus. 10/28/2011 1:15:58 PM |

^^I typically like moto devices; though they are slow on updates and I don't care for their (or VZW's) flare on top of what google does. The nexus is to be straight google, correct? no vzw/samsung bullshit? thought I read that somewhere. i'll probably just wait until both are on the shelf, the crowds are gone, and I can go play with both. of course by then, there will probably be several new "gotta get this one" devices. 10/28/2011 1:39:31 PM |

I never understood why manufacturers have so many similar phones.... I mean what's the point of having the Bionic out as well as the RAZR. Just make a single bad-ass phone that does it all and invest more time into great design, faster updates, etc. and just release one new phone every 6-12 months or so instead of this every 3 month crap. 10/28/2011 1:43:04 PM |

I think the obvious answer is adjusting the phase mode and upping the transmit sweep PDM end a bit
If that doesn't work, drop the LNA offset to around -50 and you should be good 10/30/2011 4:41:40 PM |

Just got a Droid Bionic.
It's probably the best Android phone i've owned between the original Droid and the Thunderbolt.
It's WAAAYYY better than the Thunderbolt in terms of speed and stability (still not as responsive as iOS though), and overall i like the form factor of the Bionic better too (but i'll miss the kick stand).
The thunderbolt has a much better camera. The Bionic's camera is terrible in every possible way. Pentile display sucks, they should have gone with a solid IPS LCD panel instead.
The other weird thing, which may be a software glitch, is that there doesn't seem to be a way to change the email notification sounds separately from all notification sounds? 11/1/2011 10:17:50 AM |

Quote : | "Android 4.0 is coming, and it's going to be glorious. Now that we know exactly what the Ice Cream Sandwich is made of, only one question remains: exactly which phones will get the green light to upgrade to the newest version of Google's mobile OS? Details are beginning to trickle out from the woodwork, and below the break you can check out our list of lucky devices that have been confirmed to get the official refresh at some point in time. We're still awaiting official word from a few companies regarding their upgrade intentions, so we'll continue to add more to the list as they stream in. For now, join us after the break to find out which ones have been given the stamp of approval -- or the cold hard rejection letter.
Note: If you don't see your device listed, don't fret... yet. If it hasn't been confirmed or denied, the OEM's likely still deciding which products will get the upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich. Keep checking back here from time to time, as we'll continue to update the list." |

Don't know how much of it is just technobabble hype but if it works like they claim I can see this phone having similar battery life to current phones with moderate usage but significantly lower with heavy usage.

Possible slight delay in Transformer Prime to launch with ICS? http://www.droid-life.com/2011/11/08/google-halts-transformer-prime-release-to-update-os-to-ice-cream-sandwich/
Quote : | "According to the DigiTimes, Google is working hand in hand with ASUS to make sure the world’s first quad-core tablet, rightly named the Transformer Prime, launches with the brand new Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. It is being reported that Google in the past has “cold-shouldered” PC makers and that some were looking to turn towards Windows 8, but Google is now on board with ASUS and making sure consumers will be happy with their new tablets.
There is one small issue though. If Google and Asus decide to launch the tablet with Ice Cream Sandwich, there is a chance that this could lead to a delay. According to this rumor, that could mean a December launch, which is disappointing, since this is such a killer tablet. But with the addition of Ice Cream Sandwich, that makes it all the more desirable.
Would you rather get the first quad-core tablet early with Honeycomb or have it slightly delayed to get ICS?" |

That doesn't make any sense if the Galaxy Nexus is released before ICS why not the Transformer Prime?
Are BOTH now delayed and ICS isn't being released now until December???? What a crock! 11/8/2011 6:06:14 PM |
AndyMac All American 31922 Posts user info edit post |
Nah I think Asus just needs time to port ICS to their tablet and make sure it's all installed and bug free, which could take a couple of weeks.
The Nexus has been developed for ICS the whole time. 11/8/2011 7:02:00 PM |
