and yes^^ had two ppl tell me they legitly received it...one is a pp mod that I trust ANYTHING he says.

the other has been right once and the other times completely BSed...I think he was the donavon rumor starter.

^^^^If your sources are correct, it will be bittersweet. I would love to see the investigation go on for a few more years...but I'm also very interested to see what the NOA will include and how UNC will deal with it. And LOL at the guy who started the Donovan rumor

Greg Barnes (InsideCarolina) was on the Mac Attack this morning at about 9:30 and he said UNC hadn't received it as of late Friday afternoon, but that he expects them to receive it "sometime this month"

Here's something I hadn't thought about the phone calls. They could have recruiting violation implications if Butch or Blake called too much or outside of recruiting periods (Which I imagine is common everywhere because its hard to catch without phone records ).

Butch has been cheating/lying his entire career (see Paul Dee and various Browns), he is not new to the game. There is no way he called recruits during dead periods with his university cell phone. He would have done that with his personal phone, which the NCAA can't touch, same with John Blake. The SOS, who wanted to nail agents to the wall and see UNC cleared, probably could subpoena anything from Butch but I doubt this happens/happened. With Blake, since he's been thrown under the bus, maybe, but still doubt it. The only part where I've seen Butch get sloppy is hiring the tutor after she got let go by the complaince department for "getting to close" with the players. That reeks, but apparently the "I didn't know" defense is holding stronger than anyone could believe.

The info people want is the parking tickets and who the owner of the vehicles are that each "student athlete" was driving while being issued a citation. I would highly doubt that Butch or Blake didn't cover all their tracks with university emails/phones. Tressel also didn't initiate any emails from his OSU account, he had an email sent to him, nothing he could do about that, dead in the water. It's possible Butch may have received some damning emails from someone, but I would bet this has been "taken care of." Don't know why more coaches don't have personal email accounts and claim they get family/friends stuff there. Any good compliance department would want access to those, but not when the entire compliance department was hand picked by the head coach.

Emails from "student athletes" to/from the tutor are also protected by FERPA since it deals with education. That's where the juicy stuff would be anyway, which UNC can bury and hide for eternity. I would think the NCAA would have access to those or at least asked UNC to hand them over, but not the public.

^^You'd think so, but the Black Santa/Wichard connection was made through phone records from school appointed phones. It's all a matter of who you think is looking. Why wouldn't they make the phone calls from their office, it's not like they expect the NCAA to start asking for them or anything.

Quentin Coples went to a party thrown by Marvin Austin (after the NCAA sent out a letter to new players warning them not to give players improper benefits)

NCAA looks into these new allegations

UNC lost the appeal to protect players parking tickets etc from being release to the public, asked for more time when their time span for handing the information over came up, and got shot down for that too.

Official notice of inquiry went to UNC in the last week or so, not surprising since they've been on campus for damn near a year.

Notice of allegations should be forthcoming, and we get to see what the NCAA found out - officially.
