I'm not surprised that he's taking a visit to Clemson since Coach Reed was involved in recruiting him while he was here and now Reed is tryin to steal him at Clemson. Seems to me like it's more of a tactic to take away whatever talent they can from us since they have like 12 WRs returning next year. He'd have a better shot at immediate playing time here since we have something like 6 WRs returning.
Now that tOSU is involved it's gonna be real tough to keep him. Coach Fris & Jarrod Fernandez are gonna be key in keeping him solid 1/15/2013 5:19:11 PM |

yea its always ok when one of the best recruiters in the country for one of the best teams in the country offers your highest rated commit when he would be a huge need for them and would get early playing time 1/15/2013 7:07:32 PM |

Quote : | "UCLA is the latest program to enter the mix for the nation's No. 1 dual-threat quarterback Asiantii Woulard (Winter Park, Fla./Winter Park). The Bruins offered last week according to Chad Simmons of Scout.com "I really do not know much about UCLA at all right now," Woulard told Simmons. "That is why I want to get out there to visit them. I know I like the coaches that I have talked to, but that is about it." Woulard's recruitment has really picked up in the past week with both UCLA and Clemson becoming late offer. The former South Florida recruit was believed to be leaning towards Kentucky, North Carolina State or USF. The addition of Clemson and UCLA, both of which have upcoming visits, could definitely swing this recruiting battle in a different direction." |
Quote : | "There was some confusion as to where Josh Jones (Walled Lake, Mich./Western) was officially visiting this weekend. NC State thought he was coming. So did Pittsburgh. The three-star safety made it to Pittsburgh in the end, where he connected with the coaching staff quickly, specifically coach Paul Chryst and assistant Matt House. “Coach Chryst, he’s a good guy. I enjoyed talking to him and my position coach, Coach House,” Jones said. “The campus life is pretty nice and I like the town of Pitt. “I’m going to put some thought into it.”
The thought will be whether he will sign with Illinois, which he committed to at the end of June. “I would say I’m considered as [a] soft [commit],” Jones said. “I would consider myself open because I want to make the right decision. I want to see a couple more schools then make my decision.” Jones’ decision he said will come down to where he is most comfortable and which program and university he likes best, and not which coaching staff he likes most. “It’s whose talking to me the most and where do I feel most comfortable. If a coach may leave, what place would I feel most comfortable,” Jones said. He said he got that feel at Pittsburgh.
“Although I hope the coaching staff doesn’t leave. I love the coaching staff,” he said. The next official visit for Jones will come this coming weekend. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Jones will visit Michigan State, which has not offered. An offer would come on his visit, Jones said. Michigan State might be the closest program recruiting Jones, but that might actually hurt the Spartans’ chances. And while Jones is visiting the Spartans, he hinted the two sides might not be on the same page. “Michigan State, they beat around the bush with me a lot,” Jones said. “I don’t care a lot about staying in state. I’m going to enjoy my visit. In a couple of weeks I’ll know my decision, but I’m not too high on staying in state.” NC State could land an official visit on Jan. 25 now, but the Wolfpack are competing with Colorado and Iowa. Colorado is rising fast up Jones’ board. He doesn’t hold an offer from the Buffaloes, but former NC State assistant coach Troy Walters is now at Colorado, and Walters never let up on Jones. He said he is leaning toward visiting Colorado that weekend." |

Because Priester went from Commit, to Soft Commit, to re-confirming his commitment. Not sure 1/14 is the right date, but it was just last week, I believe, that he reconfirmed his commitment. 1/16/2013 11:16:07 AM |

talked to my UF friend last night who said that Brissett probably should have started over Driskel, but they went with Driskel because he can run. Brissett is a pocket passer.
hopefully with some good coaching and development this guy can become our very own Tajh Boyd 2.0 1/17/2013 8:33:49 AM |

Weird that we went after a pocket guy if we plan on running Canada's spread. But I guess the kid is that quality of a QB where you cant pass him up if the chance is there. 1/17/2013 8:49:18 AM |
LudaChris All American 7946 Posts user info edit post |
He's more of a pocket passer, but according to Rivals he ran a 4.5 out of high school. So I think he can move if necessary. Probably more a Russell Wilson runner than a RGIII or Cam Newton runner. 1/17/2013 8:52:35 AM |

Florida started the year 7-0. They only had one loss going into the bowl game. You don't bench the starting QB of a one-loss team. 1/17/2013 1:46:20 PM |

Not an impressive list of offers, but he did have an impressive senior year: 1000+ yards rushing with 10 TDs and 500+ yards receiving with 7 TDs on offense 28 tackles with 5 TFLs, 4 sacks, and 4 INTs including 2 returned for TDs on defense
