I hear that there are actual lyrics later on in Land of 1,000 Dances, but other than the occasional 'I said,' I've never listened long enough to hear any of them.

He should have put "Hey Jude" after the 11th "NA"; also I thought there were more like 18 "NA"s before "Batman!" and only 9 before "Katamari Damacy!"

finally there are many more lyrics in Land of 1,000 Dances: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dP4oa6Pe1tU

He also missed So What by Pink... when I first heard the song and couldn't remember what it was, I googled "na na na na na na na, na na na na na na", and it came up.

What don’t you get? It’s playing off the coupon code as a means of extortion. Like “if you don’t give me this stuff for free, i’ll tell everyone that you stole from a dying woman.”

The bobcat thing is a reference to a past comic.

Themistocles said his infant son ruled all Greece -- "Athens rules all Greece; I control Athens; my wife controls me; and my infant son controls her." Thus, nowadays the world is controlled by whoever buys advertising time on Dora the Explorer.

If you're a geologist or geophysicist and you don't introduce yourself by saying your name, then gesturing downward and saying "... and I study that", I don't know what you're doing with your life.

The best thing about Strunk/White fanfiction is that it's virtually guaranteed to be well written.

this is awesome. Last week was the first one (I think), the question was "What would happen if you tried to hit a baseball pitched at 90% the speed of light?"

The whole thing is too long to post, but it ends with this:

Quote :
"Everything within roughly a mile of the park is leveled, and a firestorm engulfs the surrounding city. The baseball diamond is now a sizable crater, centered a few hundred feet behind the former location of the backstop.

A careful reading of official Major League Baseball Rule 6.08(b) suggests that in this situation, the batter would be considered "hit by pitch", and would be eligible to advance to first base."

i spent probably 10 mins exploring the pic. went left until I found the trapdoor and then kept going down and right (and sometimes up) until I found a cavern with a graveyard, tikihuts, and a submarine. I wish I could just see a zoomed out pic of it on a google maps app

when i finally found a shaft back to the surface, it was from a pipe in a recreation of SMB world 1-1
