PK's are a crapshoot either side could have won. I would prefer to see it play out on the pitch but this game would have gone on forever had that been the case. I think that Chelsea had their chances and never capitalized. They out played United after the equalizer.

if kaka won player of the year last year cause of his performance in champs league, then this secured it easily for ronaldo. he owned essien today, scored a goal, and he beat a few others off the dribble..he led the competition with 8 goals i think(could be wrong about the number), hell he was even clearing crosses out in his own box a couple times.

Ronaldo is defnitely going to win player of the year (and totally deserves to), his goal was great, and he had some good plays but he was fairly quiet in the 2nd half and extra time. It just didn't seem like he wanted the ball to try and make something happen on his own like he did so many times this season for United.

But here's a perfect example of why I hate Ronaldo -- after VDS made the save, every single player on the field and on the bench ran straight for him to celebrate EXCEPT for the only United player who missed a freaking penalty.

Also, why the hell does he take penalties like that? Are there any other elite players that have to try and fake out the goalie before they take it?

i dont like him too, but i understand why he fell down, the weight of the world was on his shoulder and he was just relieved he didnt cost them the cup
on the other side, terry who is respected acted differnetly that his teammates too, crying and all that

but the way ronaldo took the kick comes from the fact that he recently missed 2 pk's and is completely lost his confidence
