what poll skewing shit? if you request a song, it gets put into the queue. the same song can't be played within 45 minutes of the time it last played. people can only request 5 songs every hour, and a maximum of 15 songs a day.

i think that's pretty fair.



as far as the shitty music choices: i, nor the autopilot script, have chosen ANY of these songs for the past like... 12 hours. people have been requesting enough songs that it has kept the queue full JUST on requests. so everything that's been played today has been requested by SOMEONE.

there will be much more music soon. what's in there right now is basically what i had available at the time, i have a lot more music on another hard drive but i have to write tags and make sure they're all good. i'm doing that now, but it's a slow process.

as far as accepting uploads, i'll try and write something that will let people do that, but i don't really like the idea of it

if you want to request a song that's not currently in the library, PM me with a link to the mp3 and i'll add it in.

if you want to contribute bunches of songs to the library, PM me and we'll work that out.




so, in essence, don't bitch about the programming. if you don't like it, request stuff that you like.

and it will be much better when we get the programming blocks up.

when that happens... if you don't like the programming, request a time block and you can play whatever you want.

in between scheduled programming, the station will run on autopilot. here's how the autopilot works, in case anyone is wondering:

1) each song in the library has a certain weight attached to it. every time someone requests a song, the weight gets increased by 1.
2) songs that are weighted higher are more likely to be picked for queuing.
3) the autopilot script queues up 5 songs at a time, picked according to the above rules.
4) requests from the website get queued at the bottom of the queue, so they may take a while before they play.

also, here's the current request policy:


the same listener can request up to 5 songs every 60 minutes
but no more than 15 songs a day

the same artist will not be played within 20 minutes of the time that artist was last played
the same song will not be played within 45 minutes of the time that song was last played

if you violate any of these rules, it will let you know.
