In this universe, since there were fat vampires, I'd say yeah.

However, since the blood heals humans at an exorbitant rate, I'd guess the process for turning would maybe heal whatever caused them to be wheelchair bound.

Apparently fat isn't an ailment that vampire blood can cure in this show.

fat isnt an injury per se

its just extra material

now blocked arteries, diabetes, heart disease, etc...those are all curable by turning

I try not to think about the physiology of the vampires in this show because it makes my head hurt.

Do they have brains? Why did Lorena get knocked out by a TV? Will Eric's hair grow back? And a multitude of other questions.

i think it would be pretty awesome if someone turned the newlins. although they would most likely just meet the sun which would immortalize them as heroes.

i got the impression that he fractured her skull with it

and she had to heal before she could come over and be the winy ex gf

maybe vamps are like superman, when the injuries are very severe, they go unconsious to heal

they were both weak from lack of sleep, and were vulnerable to injury

watched the latest episode tonight, pretty awesome. I doubt that Godric would sacrifice himself, he seemed more of a 'preserve human and vampire' relations guy.

Plus, (even though his speed couldn't match) I would assume Eric (? the one Godric made) would try and protect him from the bomb.

ah, gotcha.

i guess eric's blood is older or w/e. so the sexual desire thing for eric would be stronger or w/e.

Well she's drank gallons of Bill's blood before... I guess it's just that Eric is so much older than Bill that his blood is that much more potent.

was going to be pissed if sookie didn't suck up some eric blud. after reading the books, I felt like they were fucking shit up with all the variations, but it's looking like they're bringing things back into the same storyline for the BIG key points (sook taking eric's blood, godric burning).

After they've been building Eric's character up for 2 seasons of this show...seeing him cry like a girl was powerful.

I was initially pissed to see that Godric was such a minor character, but the way that scene unfolded was pretty badass.

seeing him in the buff was pretty powerful as well

but yeah...i hate we didn't get more of godric, but he served his purpose for propelling eric's character foward.

and whatever happens with maryann better be good...i'm sure it will, but it's a tiresome story. though last night definitely picked up the pace.

and hoyt's exchange with his mom was a great moment for him.

My favorite line from the episode was, "I'M A GROWN ASS MAN!!" immediately followed by taking half of his cheese toast and ruffles sandwich to-go. Good episode.

Haha I'm definitely a big Hoyt fan, I'm glad he's getting a bigger role this season.

The preview for the next 3 episodes looks crazy, haha, can't wait. Jason + chainsaw = good ol' Bon-Ton fun.

Am I the only one that loved seeing Lafayette kick Eggs' ass??? That was awesome. Lafayette remains my favorite character.

Can't wait to see how the vampires handle Mary Anne. Should be interesting.

i thought the episode really started off slow after the suicide bombing and i was upset that they were

missing a great opportunity to have a real banger of a show but man ... after about 20 or so in i had

changed my mind. fucking great episode. most of you have already made the points i wanted to so

i will QFW

i sooooo agree. Eric is this old bad ass viking who broke down like a little child. the verbal exchange was really robust...what language were they speaking? nordic or vamp?

Could have done with out this part. sounded like nails on a chalk board to me.

could have possibly been my favorite part of the show and i enjoyed what went down when jessica and his mom actually met.

Sam Merlott better be glad he could shift into that fly. also like how they showed the tiny fly on the way after the fight scene involving eggs and lafayette

^^ Something germanic. I'd assume its a modern language as opposed to hiring a linguist to write dialogue in archaic nordic.

the scene with eric and godric was really powerful as everyone has said. seeing him cry was pretty intense. i would really like to know what godric said to eric that wasn't subtitled. it sounded like 3 words maybe, and i think he had said them before to eric, perhaps when he turned him.

eric is an amazing character and i'm glad they're showing his depth and building him up. even still, the scene where he and sookie were having pillow talk bothered me. a little too feminine; i guess he does highlight his hair. then again, he did give her the viking peen...

He said "Father, brother, and son."

When he turned Eric he said that he would be his father, brother, and child.

Oh yeah I enjoyed the Lafayette scene. When he was in his "dark phase" for a few episodes I wasn't enjoying it, but now he's back as a badass and he's quickly becoming one of my favorites again.

And I thought with the black eyes they were stronger, but apparently not strong enough as Lafayette straight handed Eggs his ass and toted Tara off with no problem, haha.

Yeah Godric released Eric. When Eric was talking to Lorena, he said godric freed him years ago, but he was still fiercely loyal to him.

I too enjoyed LaFayette beating the shit out of Eggs. Given their respective builds, I'm not so sure it would happen if the two actors actually got in a fight, but hey.

I asked my wife about this, because every time Sam gets into trouble I ask, "why doesn't he just turn into a polar bear and fuck their shit up?" She tells me that from the book, that he has to be familiar with the animal to turn into it.

If I had this power, I would be at the fucking zoo studying. An animal for every situation.

if i were sam i would definitely look into a career as a zoo keeper.

lafayatte has shown he can fight so it wasn't too surprising that he could more than hold his own against eggs, especially given that eggs was being controlled by maryanne.

eric and sookie's bed scene was a little too cutesy

Maybe Lorena will end up fighting Maryanne? Maybe Maryanne will be about to kill Bill (heh, Kill Bill) or something and Lorena will come in to save the day.

That's funny. I commented last night that I'd turn into a polar bear and knock the shit out of her if I was Sam. Apparently everybody thinks the polar bear is the appropriate animal to fight that bull woman. lol

So, Andy would likely now know that Sam is a shape shifter. Not that this matters much, but it get's Andy even further involved in the story.

Secondly, Sam can only shift into animals that he's had exposure to (i.e. seen, touched, etc)

Third, the Eric/Suhkeee conversation was supposed to be cutesy, it was going on inside of her head. She's dumb as shit. This is how she thinks.

Finally, it's gonna be interesting to see how quickly the develop the MaryAnne v. the Vamps in the next 3 episodes. There needs to be a bit of buildup, a fight, and closure in the next three shows, plus the fact that the Church will somehow be involved as well....I don't want them to rush it, but they kinda have to.
