I'm not saying this is the case but there is a phenomenon known as housewife whores, or something of the like. basically they're women who turn to sleeping around and some times even whoring for money because their lives have become "boring" and they want money to buy their own things, etc...
Most husbands aren't in a position where they are going to be willing to have their wife go out for hours like that multiple times a week, which means the likelihood of her having friends within her age group with which to party like that are low. She could have been out doing her thing and making a little money on the side. 1200 a month wasn't enough for her, apparently, and she was already to the degree where she was asking her family for money. if something along those lines happened, i wouldn't be too shocked, is my point. in which case, a lot of people are going to feel stupid for attaching themselves to this "poor and defenseless caring mother" whose husband was neglecting and emotionally abusive. 7/24/2008 9:49:03 AM |

yeah she sounds straight up like a bad person/mother
if these things are true, which I believe they are.
Also, trying to pass off her identical sister off as her, seriously who the FUCK in their right mind would thing this was a good idea. That is some sick sick shit. 7/24/2008 10:05:58 AM |

i'm still bothered by the sister pretending to be their mom thing. Its just plain creepy. poor judgements in child management such as that one alone are enough for me to declare them unfit for custody. 7/24/2008 10:49:50 AM |
quagmire02 All American 44225 Posts user info edit post |
^ yeah, really...how does that make sense to anyone? death is a natural part of life, and while it sucks that any child would need to deal with a parent's death, having the twin parade around in their dead mother's things is just not right
and that woman had some serious problem with fiscal responsibility (and he wasn't much better for enabling her)

My aunt, who has an identical twin sister, died 10 years ago when her boys (my cousins) were 2 and 3. Luckily, her sister never even dreamed of pretending to replace their mother - I can only imagine how traumatizing that would have been for the boys. Instead, they kept lots of pictures with my aunt and her sons in happy times, so the kids always know that their mom loved them. I can't believe this woman would even consider it. My God, these are children, not puppies. A 4-year-old knows the difference between her mom and an imposter, and I'm completely horrified that instead of trying to preserve their mom's memory, this woman would try to take her place. 7/24/2008 11:16:14 AM |

he could be lying about any piece of what he said in that affidavit, just as her friends could be lying in their statements. unless it's recorded, how could they prove that the twin sister wanted to pretend to be nancy (although that is really fucking creepy)?
i still don't know where i stand on this case, but i would like to see the autopsy report or at least know the cause of death. 7/24/2008 11:26:57 AM |

also sounds like her parents are complete asses and totally in the wrong for having custody right now.
ya'll read the part where the grandmother constantly falls asleep at the wheel while driving right?

that's how it's supposed to sound - it's his affidavit to get his chitlins back 7/24/2008 11:32:15 AM |

the difference is that the police can confirm or refute what has been said in the affidavit with phone records, receipts etc. so if he is lying, they should be able to prove it.
he's just tryin to get his kids back from psycho inlaws

well, yeah...the affidavit could be bogus...if it's just a he said she said game, then i would think that they'd rather err on the side of letting a father keep his kids (all things being equal, i mean)
this is pretty messed up, though 7/24/2008 11:34:01 AM |

they can confirm the wrecks that he was talkin about, they can confirm the twin sister dressing up as the girls' mom (fuckin creepy), they can confirm the girls' allergies to dogs and the fact that the grandparents won't get rid of their dogs, the g'parents have put the girls in the media (fucked up I think). etc etc etc.
I highly doubt any of the info in that affidavit that might be important in solving nancy's murder is news to the cops. its been said from day 1 that brad has been helpin the cops out.
its just very sketch that when he and nancy had worked out joint custody; and then her parents just swoop right on in and take the kids to canada. something ain't right there, and I've said before that her family and brad probably never really got along. 7/24/2008 11:45:34 AM |

What i like about his affidavit is that a large part of the bulletin points can be confirmed, but not all, clearly. I'm sure the parents swooped the kids up because, as many other people did, they assumed the husband was the responsible party and they had heard all these horror stories from their daughter who may or may not have been lying to support her uncontrollable spending habits. i really think that they were trying to do what was best for the kids and not merely being vindictive, despite their otherwise being clearly unfit for those children.
what i find interesting is we've heard a lot about carrie again. she may actually end up being a serious person in this case. there has been no mention by the police that they spoke with "carrie" and her mention that she did or never did see nancy that day, or has there? i find it really strange that she had this friend to whom she was so tightly clenched but her other friends don't really know who she is.
thoughts? 7/24/2008 12:08:47 PM |
quagmire02 All American 44225 Posts user info edit post |
the problem with this whole thing is that we are only getting what we're spoon-fed...it SOUNDS like carrie was not important, but now might be, but the truth may be that the cops have already had their eye on her as a person who they need to speak with further
this is why i like it when these things are turned into movies 7/24/2008 12:11:19 PM |

iirc, brad said in his affidavit that he called nancy's friends to try to find out carrie's last name or number, but none of them knew it.
in jessica adam's affidavit, the woman whose 911 call they released, she knew the last name (clarke).
a little odd.

V agreed. if she is at work that doesn't mean anything but if she is gone and hasn't been there for a week or so that would appear a little suspicious of a circumstance, in my book.
