Who do you start? Just 1

Steve Slaton - Highly ranked coming into this season. Was very good last year. Stunk it up last week and plays a Tennessee team who gave up less than 40 rushing yards to the steelers a week ago.

Larry Johnson - Not as explosive as he used to be. Did not perform well last week. But they play the Raiders this week.

Santonio Holmes - Seems to catch a TD every week here lately. His consistency in the past is a concern. Blew up last week. Plays the Bears this week.

Not a PPR league

^
Steve Slaton could be a good choice. He broke 100 yards last season in both games against the Titans (with Albert Haynesworth) so we know he can put up some numbers against them, and with Albert out of the picture he might do better.

Santonio could also have a big game with Urlacher out (limiting the amount of pressure on Ben). The Steelers dont have a great running game so Ben will be throwing alot, and Rodgers last week was able to complete passes regularly when he had time.

I would take Holmes if you have weak WRs on your roster and Slaton if you have weak RBs.

This is asinine logic

Why should that matter at all

The position is obviously a flex position...he should play the guy that he thinks will give him the most points, regardless of whether hes a RB or WR

I would go with Slaton personally, you know he's going to get touches and I'm sure the Texans want to get him back on track running the ball like he did last season

Slaton @ TEN
Parker @ CHI
Cadillac @ BUF

^^ depends on how far the Texans get behind in the game and Schaub is forced to throw. He is a good choice though since he has had success against them.

^ Slaton and Cadillac.

LT vs BAL
Kevin Smith (DET) vs MIN

pick one

[Edited on September 17, 2009 at 11:05 AM. Reason : I hate to say it but I am leaning towards Smith just for his ability to get passes (this is a PPR)]

Kevin Smith (DET) vs MI

no doubt about it. He'll get you 4-8 points just on receptions alone.

LT is done.

I've been offered this trade (in a 16-team league, so some players are hard to come by):

I Own: Matt Cassell, Braylon Edwards

Trading For: Eli Manning

Other QBs I have: Pennington, Leinart (hoping Warner goes down!).

WRs: Holmes, Owens, Bryant, Hixon (still one or two guys I wouldn't mind picking off waivers).

I just need a capable starting quarterback, and the only ones left on waivers are Leftwich and Bulger.
Tell me what I need to do TWW (other than draft better)!

I dont think that is a bad trade really. In my leagues, Eli doesn't get the most points but Cassell is stil hurt right?

^ Don't do it. Two starters for one in a league that deep isn't worth it unless you are 100% sure that the 1 person will do better than your previous QB week in and week out.

Eli is not the guy to make that trade for.

Hold on for a while, because you could be making a big mistake.

Someone in my league just dropped Anthony Gonzalez. My bench is miserable and my WRs are terrible. This will be a nice gift if he can come back strong after the bye.

him sitting on your bench would be just like a 5th wr that you never have.

Pick him up and reap the benefits when he comes back.

I have 3wr's that are playable but will only be playing 2 this week.

DeSean Jackson
Bernard Berrian
Santonio Holmes

Which 2 should I play?

I agree^, I have Berrian in one of my leagues but I'm starting Harvin over him just because Berrian hasn't shown that he is going to be targeted by Favre too much.

It doesn't matter the QB for the Eagles, DJ is going to be targeted.

agreed.

There arent any reasons that I can think of where I would play Berrian over those two.

Temper your expectations with Desean, especially if McNabb doesnt play.

here's a tough DEF conundrum.

Redskins DEF vs. STL
or
Falcons DEF vs. Delhomme and multiple interceptions.

Cedric Benson @ GB
or
Marion Barber vs NYG

Ridiculous scoring- 2 pts per rush. 10 yds per pt. Bonus pts: 3 points at 75 yards; 5 points at 90 yards; 7 points at 110 yards

^tough call...I'd lean MB3 though even against a stout NYG run defense

I was proposed a trade...I would give up Jerius Norwood and get San Diego's defense

Check the details though...my RBs are Adrian Peterson, Jamal Lewis, Julius Jones, Felix Jones and Jerius Norwood...I currently have Green Bay's defense...I'd like to add another solid defense (I think SDG's defense will be fine this year)

Thoughts on this trade? Again normal thinking would say GB defense is ok, keep your RB depth, but if I never play Norwood, what good is keeping him if the opportunity cost is getting to play SDG's defense a couple times each versus 3 horrible AFC West teams?

^^ Both matchups suck, but I'd assume that Benson will get more carries.

I'm stumped on my PPR flex this week:
Jerricho Cotchery vs. NE
Leon Washington vs. NE
Donnie Avery vs. Was
Kenny Britt vs. Hou
Louis Murphy vs. KC

The Falcons say they want to get Norwood more touches this year, but I don't really think that's going to happen.

The only thing I might keep in mind is that Edge could supplant Julius Jones in Seattle.

Otherwise your RB depth is fine.

[Edited on September 17, 2009 at 6:22 PM. Reason : AP is practically 2 starters]

i also have SDG's and GB's defenses in my other league...I like having the same players as long as it isn't at a detriment to one team, but it also decreases the amount of times you have one player on your team, and your opponent has him in another league...but thats another topic

my only real hesitation about pulling the trigger on that trade is norwood's value if turner went out for the season...but i guess thats a risk with anybody

Percy Harvin

Eddie Royal

Cadillac

pick one. i'm thinking Harvin b/c he's playing Detroit.

I think Royal might blow up against Cleveland after a slow week last week but I dunno

I think Cadillac will have a decent game but nothing spectacular

Harvin might be the fit, but Bell rushed for over 140 yards on Detroit last week...ADP is licking his chops

should I do the trade above?

I don't really see San Diego's D being very good this year (just judging by last year and last week). But I don't really see Norwood putting up numbers either. So, hmm tough one. I'd say do it and play San Diego's D on a week-week basis, depending on who they're facing

(PPR) Patrick Crayton vs. Giants or Lance Moore vs. Eagles?

(Non-PPR) Tim Hightower vs. Jax or Fred Jackson vs. Bucs?

Tough one but I'd probably go Crayton and Jackson

COLTS SIGN HANK BASKETT

needed some depth with Gonzalez out, any fantasy value? Any idea where he's gonna be on the WR depth chart? Peyton can make lots of WRs look good

^ Baskett will probably take a week or two to adjust to the new offense and a new QB..not to mention he was the third wr on the depth chart in philly. I would wait to see how he adapts first.

Ill make it tougher:
Brandon Jacobs @ DAL
Frank Gore @ SEA
Ray Rice @ SD
Fred Jackson @ TB
Leon W @ NE

Which three?
