I like having multiple gun configurations to match my playing style to the map I'm on. The default layouts on MW2 were excellent for me, so I only prestiged once to get an 11th layout. The default layouts in this game are absolute dogshit, but I don't see myself wanting to prestige because I dont see myself playing this game after Killzone 3 comes out.

i can't get my ratio much better than .3 or .4

one thing i find is that i will see a guy and start blasting away, yet i can't hit him. he ends up shooting and killing me even though i saw him first. i'm not quick enough i guess

i keep changing the sensitivity settings back and forth trying to find the best one.

Been raping tonight again

2:1 or better.

Fallen in love with the FAMAS. and like using it alot.

Starting to get more familiar with the locations and thats the key...once you know where you are and where people will be coming from the game gets a LOT easier. Theres still a few layouts I hate but overall Im getting better. The game is much much more fair than MW2.

Care packages suck...bout to reconfigure my killstreaks.

Yeah i don't like nuketown either, but it might because i ended up playing it like 9 times in a row last night on HQ trying to get the grenade kill for warlord pro.

I have never liked small maps mainly because my playing style usually involves me defending an entire building or corner of a map which isn't really possible on Shipment, Rust or nuketown. Also i hate getting spawn killed by grenades or killstreaks

It's fun when it comes up every now and then, but getting stuck on it like 12 times in a row gets old. By the end I'm getting raped because I'm just tired of the map. And the spawn switching is fucking irritating.

Nuketown is awesome. It's a great feeling to toss a frag across the map at the beginning and get a double kill or even a triple kill. Plus it's nice to pwn the shit out of the other team.

lol some people bitch because it's in their attitude toward life...don't worry about it dude...

it's a GAME. i don't mean that in a "oh it's just a game, don't take it so seriously way." i mean it's a series of predefined limitations that you all have in common, both your team and opfor, and that you have to learn to thrive in.

that's the definition of a game. all the people playing under common rules - see which team or individuals perform the best under the given circumstances. football, baseball, monopoly, or FPSes.

people who have half a brain use the first week to learn these limitations and then they thrive in the game because they have understood how it's going to work. knowingly or unknowingly, you learn things like how far you can push on a certain map before they start spawning behind you. you learn how to watch your HUD and predict spawn points based on where there are no arrows of your team. you learn how and where to chuck nades. you learn where people feel they are safe and so you always check those spots or halo jump around those corners because you know if you were a worse player, you would feel safe in that spot too and so there is probably someone waiting there. you learn what materials you can shoot through. you learn how long it takes to switch to secondary guns. you learn ranges of nades, RC cars, shotguns, SMGs, etc. you learn EVERYTHING you can about these predefined limitations.

people who just play to let off steam from work/sex life/life in general will never bother to learn the limitations - they just want a place to vent. so whenever you get tired of them, just mute them. indeed, their negativity and harsh tone can bring the mood of your group down a lot. just understand what they view the game as and how they view life and accept them - not that you hate them or anything, just know that you can't change individuals over the internets. just learn to accept them how they are and have a good time...you'll never truly understand them just because their perspective on life is very different. they believe the universe is either 1) working against them because it hates them or 2) they are self-entitled and believe their world should only work in their favor. you can never truly understand people with entirely different world views on things like that but you can learn to spot them and know how to keep them at a distance from impacting your energy level and clarity of thinking.

This is the first COD game I've played, and that's really my only complaint. Spawns switch in Nuketown way too quick. A couple minutes in and it's a total shitshow.

I guess I'm also slightly annoyed at the hide in a secluded corner and wait for one random dude to run through the room camping that I've seen.

But whatev, I'm enjoying the game.

^The big difference is that killstreak rewards no longer contribute towards getting more killstreak rewards. You can't just throw something out and wait for it to get you the next level.

the spawning isn't an issue for most games, but only spawning in one position when playing demolition makes for some horrific spawn killing. I managed to get a 10 kill streak on nuketown by just pointing my M60 across the map to the spawn point and shooting through the bus. Once I run out of ammo, I just go grab a gun out of the pile of weapons from my teams spawn point and go at it again.

In general spawns switch to the direction the team is moving. Last night they kept switching because people were trying to flank the right side of the house where I was (yeah oops I kept dying) once they were back there then more spawned on that side. On the otherhand its pretty shitty to be on a loosing side and continously spawn where everyone on your team keeps dying. I mainly don't like nuketown because I hate staying in one small spot and waiting for people, and if you want to move on that map you're dead.


Its most annoying when you're going rogue on a team sneaking around the entire map then nine dudes on your team spawn next to you firing off their suppressorless guns and running in the most obvious places.

i play domination because i think it is the most fair mode and you can generally tell where the other team is spawning. but when my team has B and C for instance and keeps trying to take A I get fucking so mad because that will make the other team start spawning at C where I am camping. It's so simple, just take two flags and defend.

Got my first chopper gunner. I used to hate nuketown but I am starting to like it. Every assault rifle seems like garbage to me except FAMAS and AK.
