Did you guys ever attend high school? Did the smartest girl win prom queen or even valedictorian? Of course not.

Let me make this clear. Derrick Rose was not the MVP this season. No one in the entire world, even Derrick Rose's mom would take Derrick Rose #1 overall in a draft where they had to select the best basketball team in the universe.

He is what he is. A really good point guard on a great team.

Why do people have an obsession for voting for really good players on great teams? I don't know... maybe it makes them feel good about themselves.

If the Steve Nash MVP's were indefensible (which we all agree they were) then obviously the D.Rose MVP is indefensible.

Sure, he won't go down as the WORST MVP in NBA HISTORY because believe it or not Allen Iverson (of all people) actually won an MVP one year when no one was paying attention to things like statistics and they voted based on shoe sales.

Live in your fantasyland and I'll live in reality.

i never went to high school, but i do know that relying on stats is an easy way to bend an argument any way you see fit.

I rely on truth and you rely on what your mind thinks.

I'll take truth 100 times out of 100.

Your mind didn't take Grizzlies over the Spurs, and mine didn't either. But there's a reason I bet on the Grizzlies and you didn't.

You can try to resist math all you want, but it's better than you are because it isn't corrupted by bias, anomalies, and randomness the way you are.

this year the voters were paying attention to the only statistic that matters: wins

forgive me for being an ignorant sports fan who thinks more highly of a player who wins games than a player who puts up more efficient stats while losing games

Kevin Love was the most valuable player in the NBA for efficiently leading his team to a great record, a mere 48 games under .500

Kevin Love was definitely amongst the league leaders this year.

Any argument against Kevin Love as the MVP identifies you as a basic fan.

So be careful here.

those stats are truthful, not inclined to bias, randomness, or anomalies. and face says he should have been mentioned for MVP.

how valuable is a guy who can put up numbers but your team can't win shit? i'm talking strictly in the sense of an MVP

Any argument for Kevin Love as the MVP identifies you as a fantasy basketball fan

Love wasn't even valuable enough to get his team the #1 pick in the rigged draft lottery

I'm with face strictly because my all-time favorite player Andre Dawson won an MVP on a last place Cubs team.

Riddle me this:

If Derrick Rose is the MVP of the NBA... why is he not that effective in games?

you have a warped definition of effective

if the Bulls come back and win this game, against MVP snubbees Lebron and Wade, will you agree that winning a game is the most effective and valuable thing you can do for your team?

Before you argue agaisnt Kevin Love being in the MVP argument, make sure you acknowledge he had the worst teammates in NBA history.

At least gain some credibility here by admitting that his teammates were the lowest ranked team of all-time and without him were expected to win FOUR games all season.

If you can acknowledge basic truths, maybe you have hope.

I'll agree 100% that Kevin Love had a great year, deserved to be an all star, didn't have anything to work with, and is nationally underrated

I will also say that you're retarded for suggesting anyone be considered for the MVP when your team wins 17 games

no.

Im not saying give the MVP award to Love for being a great player on a piss poor team.

But why on the flipside would you give Rose the award for being a good player on a great team?

Think about that.

Why not just give it to a legitimate MVP like Howard?

No, I just tell people the truth. Its one of my "things" where I tell truths and respond to people who worship false idols.

Its the same reason I tell the Obama Church they are wrong. I dont need to convince them they're wrong now, I just want them to feel it later.

the truth like Miami winning 72 games and Washington winning 9

your truth was only off by a margin of 28

you were only off by 17%

too bad you're gonna lose $200 on your Dallas/OKC truth

although that was just hedging your bets to guarantee you'd be right about something

it is a little weak for the mvp to be shooting 42% in the playoffs and that number is kind of compounded by the fact that he's taking like 30 shots a game, it was just a fairly weak year for mvp candidates in general, I said I would have given it to dirk if the mavs had done a little better record wise and the bulls a little weaker and at least I look a little smart for that since he's been the mvp of the playoffs

I don't "lose" by taking a +300 bet that should be +200.

I dont claim to be a 8 figure nigger by the name of jigger. But I can handle a $200 swing in my networth for value.

I hit 6 figures before I turned 30. Did you?

And that includes 6 years of college where I put beer & pussy ahead of success.

And even now I still put beer #1.

So I'm going to get high and watch this last matrix movie after D.Rose blows another Bulls win.

Get off my knutesac.

i made a bet that 33% of the time returns +$600. 67% of the time it loses $200.

So i gained $200 worth of value by taking that bet, playboy.

If all it takes to be NBA MVP is be a good player on a great team then there would be 2,000 MVP's in only ~60 seasons of professional basketball.

I'd hate for my kids to look at an NBA history book and say "I want to be the next Allen Iverson or Derrick Rose"

---- This post brought to you by people who care about above average NBA PG's winning NBA MVP awards -------

If I had to blast how I feel right now to the worldwide nation I would say this:

Quote :
"
Ten years
Yo the sun don't shine forever
But as long as it's here then we might as well shine together
Better now than never, business before pleasure
P. Diddy and the Fam, who you know do it better?
Yeah right, no matter what, we air tight
And when you hear somethin, make sure you hear it right
Don't make a ass outta yourself by assumin
My music keeps you movin, what are you provin?
You know that I'm two levels above you baby
Hug me baby, I'ma make you love me baby
It's ten years and we still runnin this motherfucker
"

I'm betting the Bulls two stacks above you baby, high two drugs above you baby, two nuts on your lady. and for lunch I will prepare 96% lean ground beef on my foreman grill with fat-free cheese and granulated salt & pepper shakers. (ice water prepared in a filtered brita container).
