yeah, the house is friendly but creepy, if that makes any sense. i always feel safe in my room so i don't worry about it. but i'm 24 and there's no way in hell id stay up past my mom unless i'm out and stumble in at the wee hours of the morning. even so, i do not walk down the hallway unless the lights are blaring. not in 17 years of living in that house have i ever walked down the hallway when it was completely dark.

My grandmother always claimed that my uncle and grandfather were here in the house with her. When she died, I spent the first month always looking over my shoulder and out of the corner of my eye for her. I figured that if Uncle P and Grandaddy stuck around for her, that she would stick around for me. I've had dreams about her and I've felt that eerie feeling of someone over my shoulder, but I haven't seen her.

Folks here are convinced that ghosts exist. I've been asked several times if I've seen my grandma in the house since she died. It's only been 2 months. I imagine that she's having too much fun with grandaddy, daddy, and Uncle P to visit yet, but I'll see her soon enough.
