I hadn't heard about the ricin thing... doesn't seem like it was actually ricin though, just ground up seeds that contain trace amounts of ricin. There was practically zero chance in the best case scenario that this would have hurt anyone. You would have to snort the ground up castor seeds to have the chance of having any effect.

It doesn't seem like he was acting on any broader directive of mandate, he was just a crazy person.

These pipe bombs, which maybe have just been decoys, seem intended to extend Trump's rhetoric on democrats and the media, and were made for the purpose of promoting fear.

How will this Syria thing play out?

Obviously a lot of people agree that endless war should end.

But can Trump get enough people to trust him to lead this effort? Seems nuts to announce this without telling military leaders, Congress, or our allies. Wasn't one of the GOP refrains was that Obama telegraphed war plans and gave the enemy time to adapt, how is this not 10x worse than that?

Also seems bizarre they're saying ISIS isn't a big deal, when fear of ISISand muslims was 75% of his campaign. And it doesn't seem like Trump is pushing for any cuts to military spending or reallocating this money to social programs.
