Ya, went and got a Razr today after throwing my Fascinate in the wash and they couldn't (and still can't) get it activated, along with some other 4G phone they were trying to activate.

^if it won't activate via the automated system on the device, then bypass that, call vzw tech support and do the over-the-phone automated activation. once complete, turn off, remove battery, remove sim card, replace both, turn on, should be activated (may take a few minutes after rebooting)

or the LTE issues may be causing activation issues, I don't know. But I've seen a few vzw 4g devices that needed to go through the above process to get activated.

They spent about 45 minutes on the phone with tech support at the verizon store, tried all of that about 5 times, including trying a different sim card. After about an hour in the store, they finally told the rep that an outage just showed up 30 minutes ago (around 12:15), and it won't activate until thats worked out. I called about an hour and a half ago, still a no go.

So on the Nexus, is there any way to customize the notification LED?

Seems like its either a pulsing white light, or nothing. Is that accurate?
Plus no way to customize per per application (text, email, fb etc)?
Also no notification LED on charging (to show when charging, and when complete, like on HTC phones)?

There's some app like flow something..... it lets you customize the led colors... but by default, it is white.

[Edited on December 28, 2011 at 7:45 PM. Reason : lets you do charging colors too]

anyone still having 4g problems? I have 3g but the 4g will not work. It finds the signal for a few seconds if I reboot but then turns back to 4g. Can't play BF3 tonight

looks like you can still do it online, but just use your bank's bill-pay option

^^^^ the fuck.

i have never used the autopay option because, over the years, there have been several instances (with both alltel and verizon) where i've been overcharged/mischarged...and i wouldn't have caught it until after they'd charged me...just seemed easier to pay when i agree with the bill

so are they now charging you for paying your bill by anything but check? or can you pay online (for free) if you just let them autobill you?

Backwards, man. They're charging you if you pay by check, or by calling in with a credit card. If you pay through your bank's billpay, no charge. Autopay through them, no charge. Pay online through them with your credit card, no charge.

actually, if you pay by check (paper check in the mail, not e-check) .. they don't charge you

but you have to buy stamps, etc, pain in the ass

They are charging the extra $2 if you pay by atm, debit or credit card online or over the phone. ACH (e-check) online or over the phone, check by mail, auto-pay or in-store via any method doesn't add the $2 fee.

what i look for in a bank account is for it to hold my money, allow me to transfer funds, have Visa Checkcard capability, have available branches/ATMs at many locations

i think it handles that just fine

Because from that a lot of people will still think that if they pay on their website with a credit card, they wouldn't get the fee. But they will.

Besides all that, how is it any different? And yet sending a paper check doesn't get a fee. That's the only scenario besides calling in with a card that could even need any human contact/effort. The two ways I'd think a fee might be justified.

Brought home my Dell Streak 7 to show my dad over the holidays.

He went out and bought a Transformer TF-101 two days ago and absolutely loves it. I too am impressed as shit by the thing and it's pretty much sealed the deal that I'll buy a Prime.

I got a Prime for Christmas by far the best tablet I have seen if it was not for one problem. The damn GPS will not work. After looking around the internet it seems like it is a pretty common problem. Just a heads up for you guys.

anyone with the new razr noticing really weak vibrate, particularly on texts? i keep missing them because it's so weak. trying to figure out if that's just the phone, or if i should take it to verizon.

The vibrate on the nexus is noticeably softer than my Droid. Thought maybe it was a motorola/Samsung difference, maybe its a new trend?

the ringer is a bit quieter too...

^ AHH! That's my biggest peeve about the nexus. The ringer is (1) weak, (2) almost inaudible when the screen is face up (i.e. speaker face down) and against anything that's not wood or metal. I cant count how many calls Ive missed, with my ringtone on full volume, because Ive been watching TV and the phone has basically been muted because its against my leg, speaker side down on the couch, etc.

Is the experience that much different on a Nexus vs my Incredible?

I kind of like the weaker vibrate. I remember I could hear my Droid vibrate from across the house when it was sitting on the couch, kind of defeats the purpose of the vibrate function
