i reserved a truck to move my shit tomorrow at 8:30 am like forever ago. confirmed it yesterday. pick up in gboro and one way to raleigh. easy peasy lemon squeezy.

APPARENTLY the store got vandalized last night and all the trucks are damaged so i have no truck and they're scrambling to find another one (from another place). but luckily it is the first of the month this weekend so everyone and their mom is moving out/in AND my tenant is moving in sunday but since i planned on being out at the LATEST like 3pm tomorrow, i told him he could come tomorrow night.

now i have no truck. and won't know if they found one until like 8am tomorrow morning

so i take back what i said last night (above) about being free from the evils of the universe. the universe seems like a catty bitch.

That sucks. And actually, I woke up today and looked at my car in the light and it's really not that bad. I may not even report it. The only real damage is my headlight cover is broken (I can replace that easily) and there is a dent in the door that I can pay someone to take out relatively cheaply and easily. No paint damage or anything...

And car (and employment) issues really pale in comparison to REAL, more important issues. I almost feel kind of silly for bitching about it.

Fail. The Hillsborough place had really awful reviews, which was part of the reason I didn't use UHaul to put my stuff in storage. Brandi told me that the truck died a little after they put all of my stuff in my storage unit, so that's good, lol.

Apparently, the battery wires are bad and all he had to do was jiggle each wire at the terminal location to get it started again. However, he didn't get that little bit of information from his step-dad until four hours later when he finally called him back (his step-dad was asleep and had turned his cell phone off ).

yea i feel like IF they can find us something from another uhaul place (they've tried the other ones in gboro and are now looking at one in mebane ) i'm just going to take whatever it is and if it isn't big enough my bfs parents have a sweet miata that tows a trailer like 50mph down the highway. so that'll be fun

yea that is definitely true. i just like to whine but i also have some pretty good perspective after the past year so i know this is no big deal...like not even remotely close to a big deal. but what i'm really happy about is that no one close to me has died or been hospitalized in the past 3 months and that is a LONG streak. so maybe my grim reaper curse has worn off. BEWARE BEFRIENDING ME haha.

but yea. war, poverty, famine, disease. there are a million worse things (like way worse). i just try to remember when something goes wrong that i have the luxury of eating junk food and drinking a beer to deal
