Well he is out now and being deported back to Canada https://www.wral.com/brad-cooper-completes-prison-sentence-for-wife-s-murder-will-be-deported/19386753/
This case still crosses my mind every so often. Not sure he was innocent but still think he got screwed with the process. Still think it might have been the guy who was potentially having an affair with the wife. 11/25/2020 11:14:57 PM |

I'm going to come out and say this. At the time I thought he was innocent. These days I still lean toward innocent but am convinced that the state didn't not meet the burden of proof for conviction. 12/2/2020 9:51:49 PM |

Yeah, he admitted it but in reality it was probably another dang owl. 12/3/2020 1:17:23 PM |

Yes, he admitted it in a plea to not be convicted a second time and to have an opportunity to be out in 15 years rather than die or be executed in prison.
Given those options, and having your heart and soul broken over how justice played out the first time, I can imagine why one may take the plea. 12/3/2020 1:49:35 PM |

And its not like we execute ppl all the time. At worst he’d have had life in prison. 12/3/2020 6:03:16 PM |
