edit: as of right now, no truck. that is awesome. and then i get yelled at by my dad for something that isn't even remotely close to my fault and when i tell him moving my shit from greensboro to raleigh in a lexus SUV WILL NEVER WORK. those things are small, it can fit like ONE piece of furniture at a time (nevermind boxes) and it takes 3 hours to go there and back. i mean, excuse me for being realistic. i was like "if you can't get a truck get a fucking van, at least we can fill that to the top with boxes."

yes. because the truck we've had reserved for over 2 weeks and confirmed thursday to pick up at 8am this morning was at a location got vandalized thursday night. so yesterday we get a call that says the truck is no longer available due to vandalism, they don't have any other trucks there because they were all vandalized AND since it is the end of the month/first of the month, lots of people are moving (incase you didn't know, especially with college starting in august people are moving in/out this weekend)

THEREFORE, all of the trucks in HP, GBORO, ABORO, BURLINGTON were already reserved since it is a heavy moving weekend and that left us (aka them, because it was their fault, not ours) with < 24 hours to find another one. and it is hard to find a moving truck the DAY you need it, if you didn't reserve one. if you've never moved before, might wanna make a mental note of that.

OH AND my tenant is moving in tomorrow morning so i have 0 flexibility. i guess i could have moved earlier in the week but oh yea, i was taking the bar exam.

^ i just don't really like it - its not terrible. it seems just way too sterile and not very cultural and then outside the downtown/uptown is like super suburbia. all parts outside of the center of charlotte i've been to (besides like some of the older neighborhoods off prov rd closer to the city center) look the same - ultra suburban with shopping centers that look identical.

i dunno. just isn't my thing. my friends live there and love it. i've had fun visiting, but thats just cause my friends live there.

around 11:30 there was a group just standing around a table next to the one we had kind of established as ours early on outside. rodge was asking if we could have it...but when he tapped on the girl's shoulder to get her attention, she thought he was manhandling her (she was petite--maybe 5'5'' so I'm sure him being 6'5'' and a little drunk was super scary to her). she got all pissy. we tried to calm her down...let her know it was his birthday, we were just trying to have a good time and wanted to use their table if they weren't, and we'd keep him under control. she wasn't having it, and called a fucking bouncer on him/us. when chas took him around the corner, i was trying to smooth things over with her, and I didn't hear what she said word for word, but I know it wasn't very nice. Danny did hear it though, so then he got in to it with her...her husband got pissy...the whole thing was stupid and just ended badly.

I mean, I don't go to the Times everyday or anything...but I have never had an experience like that there. Most of the time the people have been very cool...but she was not having any of it last night.
