i work for corp. capital projects engineering, specifically work for 30mil+ projects... specialize in global manufacturing execution system design and integration

i kinda consider it consulting sometimes, b/c we get contracted out on smaller jobs and one offs for random plants all the time... the work kinda comes to you and you chose which job, what to do, how to do it, etc... our group is really anal about titles, since title indicates salary grade level.. a few levels above me technically has sr. consultant in the title, but right now im at project engineer (whatever, we all do the same thing... there are only 6 of us)
