Are the uptown fireworks any good?

Where is a good place to watch them from?

i do NOT recommend using post gateway's top parking deck, was out there last year with 100 + people, was directly blocked by some random uptown building, get closer and find a good parking deck, im sure http://www.charlotte.com might have some recommendations

You will need to be SE of tryon street to have an optimal veiw. The fireworks "uptown" will be shot off from memorial stadium.

^^Thirsty Thursdays are any Thursday where the Charlotte Knights have a home game. I think they have $2 beers and $1 hotdogs

glancing at the schedule the only remaining ones this season are (there was one last thursday btw):

- July 20 v. Columbus (Yankees)
- August 3 v. Rochester (Twins)
- August 31 v. Toledo (Tigers)

if you like baseball or not, if there is nice weather, how can you go wrong going 15 minutes south on 77 to drink some cold ones and eat some dogs with your friends

I am moving to Charlotte (Ballantyne area) early August. I would love some insight on places to hang out and eat. Also, where are the good bars to watch State play during Football and Basketball season.

Stool Pigeons uptown is always a good place to watch State games....there is a pretty big alum. presence there and good drink specials.
