If the Administration doesn't want us to boo / make a scene then they need to reassure the fan base RIGHT NOW, because otherwise, it leaves the impression that they are NOT doing anything. That is obviously unacceptable to 75% (conservative estimate) of the fan base, therefor it would be well within acceptable terms to "complain" at the ECU game.

he IS one of PACK / he played here and coached here
he got us back on the map as a program and like Bunting...this is his dream job

i am 100% sure it eats him up inside that NCSU is looking shitty on the field
but something has to change

how terrible would it be if they announced it on the field right before the game as being Chucks last as head coach

the crowd would be in shock.

i would be very interested to hear the reaction of 50000 fans in one place to the announcement of his firing. i think it would be 5 sec of silence followed by cheering.

yea, if he's gonna be fired, which i hope he is, they should really announce it before saturday's game. it does kill him to see us suck like this and he does want what's best for nc state. we should all be appreciative of what he's done while he's been here and it would be nice to send him out with a nice applause and all. but if people think he's comin back for another year, boos will likely ensue.

Why is it bad to boo a coach who makes bad choices at what is his full time job?

wouldnt it suck to be the guys who donate "top 8" money.

Our new facilities came because Chuck talked big of greatness to come, and with Phillip Rivers, people started to believe him, and the money flowed with excitement and anticipation. Now we have a great stadium, but no great team and whether the buck stops at Chuck or continues to Fowler, things need to change.

I was on the Chuck bandwagon when he came. Loved the guy. Expected great things. Then Philip left and what the fuck happened?
Chuck is a fine defensive coordinator, (and shit, it would be great if he was our defensive coordinator) but the guy sucks as a head coach.
Penalties.
Clock management.
3rd and 16 and he lets a draw play go.
Carolina game: 4th and 3 inches and he punts. Any moron can stick his arm out and get 3 inches.
4th and 6 with nearly 3 minutes left and three timeouts left, he goes for it. Idiot!
I could list other games with bullshit, but I would be here all night.
Bye you fucking loser.

Hello boys and girls....can you say Cowher?

I'm sure this has been said before, but if Larry Coker gets fired after a 6-6 season and 59-15 overall, you know Chuck has to go.

If not, Oblinger should give him an ultimatum:

The ACC crown and a top-15 finish next season.

Yea, seeing as how he hasn't finished higher than fourth in the ACC, I'd say he has no shot. No sense keeping him another day, much less another year.

http://www.statefansnation.com/index.php/archives/2006/11/14/ecu-paid-300k-to-play-nc-state/

Quote :
"SFN hears about fiscal responsibility from the NC State Athletics Administration all of the time. Most recently we have heard from numerous people connected to the University that Chuck Amato (AND Marc Trestman’s) jobs are 100% safe because Lee Fowler and NC State’s Administration ‘cannot’/will not pay for buyouts related to their contracts. We want to make sure that emphasize that there is a big difference between “cannot” and “will not”. Unfortunately for State fans, the Department likes to present things that they “will not” do as things that “cannot” be done."

I sure hope thats not true
