Negative! We rarely have outgoing mail because people take it down to the mailbox on their own. I guess I didn't explain that part either!

I just have a pile when I have to mail stuff out or some ninja drops it on my desk when I'm not around.

just leave the personal mail on your desk piling up but take the mail youre supposed to take down to the mailbox. so then they have to admit to putting their personal mail on your desk when they're wondering why their personal mail isnt being sent out.

people that can't close the door when they leave
people that constantly complain about it being cold, yet they only wear tank tops
people that are insecure about you talking to the boss without them being present
people that have less credentials and make the same amount of money
administration changing the interpretation of policies with little to no notice
selective enforcement of said policies
and that's probably enough venting for now

they just hung some art outside my office, and i can see part of it

one of those peices that is split into like three canvases

the third is hung ~1/4" lower than the other three

i just realized i spent the last 5 minutes looking at it... not the art

but the disparity in the levels

temperatures in general are a pretty good workplace annoyance. My current and previous jobs have allowed me temperature control in my office, but if you work in a cube/common area/office without a thermostat, it can get pretty ridiculous. Had an on-campus job a few years back where you had to dress almost opposite of the weather outside, because they kept the building so warm in the winter and so cold in the summer. It would be 30 degrees outside and 80 inside, or 85 outside and 65 inside. Layers were key...
