I don't know, from everything we heard he was supposed to be the most boring, lack of emmotion, uncharismatic coach ever. But I have been suprised. Wasn't it last week the announcers were like, "Is that Tom O'Brien smiling?!" And you look at some of those pictures of him hugging players, laughing, and having a good time with him. Combined with his sarcastic sense of humor he's been showing during post game interviews and some of well placed shit talking he's been doing...

^^ I mean, I said I'd like to see SOME trick plays, but seeing how consistent he and the team are with traditional style, I'll take it. I don't recall saying we NEED it. It's fun every now and then. But like everyone says, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."


I am kinda surprised too. He's smiling and always huggin' the players. And from what I hear, the players LOVE him. They all mostly think he's an amazing coach.

trick plays mean your offense isnt working.

If you can ram the ball down there throat and they cant stop you with your regular offense, that shit is MONEY.

This team plays exciting football.

Our offense has power running, breaks to the outside, creates on bootlegs, throws deep downfield, and goes for it on 4th when we've got a shot at converting.

The defense stuffs runs, goes after the QB, strips the ball, and goes for interceptions.

What the hell is "boring" about it?

^^that's a highlight reel for us, lowlight reel for raycom. I don't think I saw one accurate call from the announcers. Getting players names wrong, calling TDs that weren't, calling down at the 1 when it's a TD...just awful awful stuff.

Plus I keep hearing people bounce between completions without an interception and attempts without an interception. Which is it? First one and then the other But one of those is certainly more impressive than the other in my book. I was under the impression that it was completions.
