Seriously. I think I saw a statistic where the Magic had 18 free throws in the 4th quarter and overtime. If I recall correctly, the Lakers only had 1 with some 4 seconds left in overtime, and it took a flagrant to get on the line.

Ok, are the Lakers just being too sloppy or are the refs letting the players get away with murder right now?

I guess it's probably a combination of both.

Phil must be frustrated, multiple sportsy folks on the radio have made a point of bringing up that he never wants to call the first time out in a game and will let a team sink before finally doing it. For him to have called something this quickly then there's something he's hating out there right now (you know, beyond the fact that his team's getting whacked early).
