The truth is finally revealed!

http://www.wusa9.com/news/local/story.aspx?storyid=122925

Quote :
"STERLING, Va. (WUSA) -- Eugene Delgaudio is an elected official on the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors. He is also President of Public Advocate of the United States.

Delgaudio writes for the Public Advocate, a conservative, non-profit organization.

A widely distributed e-mail written by Delgaudio for the Public Advocate about TSA, claims the pat downs are part of a "Homosexual Agenda.""

Quote :
"That means the next TSA official that gives you an 'enhanced pat down' could be a practicing homosexual secretly getting pleasure from your submission," Delgaudio wrote."

I'd be more worried about the non-practicing gays, because if you're getting any outside of work, cranky air port crowds aren't going to be that appetizing.

(I know he wasn't actually going for sense making, just using practicing homosexual because its a conservative talking point implying that gays can turn it on & off at will, but its still funny)

"What's wrong with being in favor of sensible governance?"

in favor? nothing...but you're a typical liberal pussy...you sit there and get all upset over shit you aren't going to do a damn thing about...you get hard at the thought of protesting, rebelling, of people reading your words and being inspired to DO something, but you're just too much of a pussy to do anything but talk on teh intarwebs

Quote :
"I've done precisely what I can do about it. Write politicians, call the airport and complain, and not fly. Not sure what else is at my disposal. I suppose I could fly and simply make TSA workers' lives a living hell by humiliating them personally for doing a despicable job, but I'd rather not fly instead. We'll see how long that lasts as I will eventually have business outside of the country.

I like how you mock me for getting worked up about a legitimate issue as if your apathy is anything other than limp-wristed Gen-Y bullshit. Oh wow look at you. You're so above the fray. How cool."

exactly, you dumb fuck...what you've done is absolutely jack shit because it's all you CAN do...in the meantime, you'll get up on your soapbox and start bitching about how awful the gubment is and then you'll do...nothing

i'm hardly apathetic...but i live in reality, which you quite obviously do not...i've matured enough to realize that shit like this isn't worth wasting my time on

you're still under the delusion that your words will inspire anyone or accomplish anything...you're sad in your desire to be heard, for someone to think that your opinion means anything...but your words are libertarian drivel that mean exactly piss

Quote :
"Who cares what you love and don't love...probably your dumb fucking wife, but do I look like her to you? "

and THIS is how i know i've gotten to you...you pride yourself on contributing substance of value, but this is what you reduce yourself to when you get too damn flustered to spout your indignant the-gubment-done-took-our-liberties! blather...go get off your lazy libertarian ass and fucking DO something or STFU, kid

i stopped taking this seriously after the bolded part...the loudest conservatives are probably closet homosexuals who are too terrified of the satan-inspired wood they get when they see a good-looking guy at the pool to think straight

there's no doubt in my mind that more people care because of their homophobia than care because they feel their 4th amendment rights are being violated...i'd be surprised if half the people who bitch about their rights even know which amendment is which until the news or teh intarwebs tells them

So by writing politicians, calling and complaining, boycotting, raising awareness...he's done nothing?

"So by writing politicians, calling and complaining, boycotting, raising awareness...he's done nothing?"

1.) writing politicians: oh yeah, a real protester right here!

2.) calling and complaining: to whom? did he speak with someone who can do anything? or are we talking a secretary's secretary to someone who doesn't care?

3.) boycotting: i call utter and complete bullshit...unless he has specifically inconvenienced himself on multiple occasions to avoid something that may or may not even be in use at his local airport, he's not boycotting shit...of course he'll come in here and tell us how he's canceled his vacations and refused to travel for the holidays and all that crap JUST because of the scanners

4.) raising awareness: what are you talking about? qntmoverlord made the thread and so McDanger, personally, has likely reached zero people on here...who has he affected? did he organize a boycott? convince a nation to refuse to fly? no, of course not...he's bitched and moaned about his liberties like he does IN EVERY THREAD...i could sign in as McDanger and play his role perfectly because his whine is always the same

blah blah blah...i don't give a rat's ass what he thinks he's done, because in reality he hasn't done a damn thing...he's an armchair politician who, in his naivete, thinks this is the beginning of the end of personal liberty as we know it (and before that, it was smoking in restaurants...what's next for our doomed country?)

...yeah, you're just not worth responding to if you think all of that is the equivalent of 'wasting time'. By your logic, Matt Drudge didn't accomplish anything by posting articles on his website and simply raising awareness in the American public to this issue.

Nope. He might as well just shut down his website because it isn't doing anything.

Hell WikiLeaks, just raising awareness there too. Fuck it, that guy's doing nothing wrong.

it is both hysterical and pathetic that you think McDanger is even remotely like any of these...comparatively, McDanger is the retarded guy screaming at people in the brickyard

but i'm sure you just caused him to jizz in his pants with the idea that he's contributing something that will affect a change...congrats

The reason this whole controversy accomplished anything (TSA allegedly shutting down the scanners) was that Americans went from not giving a shit (80+% in favor) to being opposed to these things (60%+ opposing). How? By word of mouth/internet/TV, threads like this one showing people what happened and getting into discussions about it.

After the people realized, what then? They started to bitch. They bitched by writing, calling, stripping, taking videos, and saying they weren't going to fly. Not just one person did this, thousands did. Enough for the government to be all "oh shit, people are upset", and possibly enough saying they wouldn't fly if possible (what, 30%?) that maybe airlines starting putting pressure on it as well.

So while McDanger may not have specifically caused someone to turn off a scanner, his complaints along with everyone else helped bring change.

[Edited on November 30, 2010 at 10:25 AM. Reason : added TV]

[Edited on November 30, 2010 at 10:26 AM. Reason : although what 'change' I guess still needs to be seen]

^^ i'm pretty damn talented, that's how!

but please, tell me EXACTLY how McDanger has affected a definite change...i'm curious as to what his sitting-on-his-ass-and-whining-on-teh-intarwebs approach has ACTUALLY accomplished

how many of you canceled your tickets to fly because of this? how many of you protested in a march? how many of you did ANYTHING other than bitch about it? yeah, that's what i thought

the difference is that i recognize that this isn't worth wasting my time over, while some of you aren't capable of understanding that there are far more important things to worry about than whether some dude may or may not be jacking off to your less-than-impressive dick pics

what in the world does this prove other than people are fickle, unthinking pack animals?

you're missing the point, you dumbass...the government didn't say to itself, "gee, this might be violating their rights, we really ought to stop doing that"...they said, "well, fuck, these assholes are going to cause more trouble than its worth...we'll deal with this later, after the busiest travel day of the year"

Let's slow down on the vivid fantasies about what I'm up to and what I think I'm up to

This entire episode upsets me as a citizen, and so I wrote my congressman and called the airport to file a complaint with the administration there. Does this accomplish anything directly? No. But the guy at the airport told me that tons of people were calling in and complaining; they're between a rock and a hard place. The airports can more easily pressure politicians than I can, however (yay capital), so even though these actions have a small amount of influence, they have TONS more influence than, say, voting.

Other than that, I do what I normally like to do on the internet; talk about shit, and bring up issues to other people. Probably at most a hundred people have read what I think about the scanners. So what? I'm not really in a position to soldier full-time, so this is what I can do.

i'll take knowing that i am unarguably and directly improving the world (the real world, not this imaginary intarweb land) over crying myself to sleep that some people i do not know and will never see again may see an x-ray of my dingaling

I would encourage anyone who really does want to make a difference and change the way the country is run to consider a career in public policy. Get an education (I'm happy to recommend good policy schools); pick the area you're interested in changing; get a job at a think tank, national lab, university, or government agency; and go make it happen. There's an entire industry built around telling governments how best to conduct themselves, and I don't mean through anything greasy like lobbying. It's not difficult to set yourself up as an agent of change with real access to decision-makers.

That is all.

"Man arrested after ejaculating during TSA pat-down

A 47 year old gay man was arrested at San Francisco International Airport after ejaculating while being patted down by a male TSA agent. Percy Cummings, an interior designer from San Francisco, is being held without bail after the alleged incident, charged with sexually assaulting a Federal agent.

According to Cummings’ partner, Sergio Armani, Cummings has “multiple piercings on his manhood” which were detected during a full body scan. As a result, Cummings was pulled aside for a pat-down. Armani stated that the unidentified TSA agent spent “an inordinate amount of time groping” Cummings, who had apparently become sexually aroused. Cummings, who has a history of sexual dysfunction, ejaculated while the TSA agent’s hand was feeling the piercings. The TSA agent, according to several witnesses, promptly called for back up. Cummings was thrown to the ground and handcuffed.

A TSA spokesperson declined to comment on this specifc case, but said that anyone ejaculating during a pat-down would be subject to arrest."

this one was clever, but the rest of that site's "recent news" are downright stupid.

* Cross-eyed policewoman becomes Internet sensation
* Man arrested after ejaculating during TSA pat-down
* Singapore to prosecute nose picking drivers
* Porn shop discloses lottery winner’s other purchases
* “National Gross-Out Day” called to protest TSA pat-downs
* Dead man in mortuary impregnates woman

i mean, really.
