So I traded started out the week with both Gronk and Cameron on my roster, and I traded Gronk/Darren McFadden for Doug Martin/Jared Cook. We start 2 RB, 2WR, and 1 RB/WR. Which leaves my roster at:
RB Doug Martin RB Trent Richardson (bye week 5) RB Le'Veon Bell (bye week 5) RB Danny Woodhead RB Willis McGahee WR Calvin Johnson WR Demaryius Thomas WR Mike Wallace WR Denarius Moore TE Jordan Cameron TE Jared Cook
Last night I was offered Steven Ridley and Tony Gonzalez for Cameron, Le'Veon Bell, and Denarius Moore.
My first reaction was don't do it. But is the drop off from Cameron to Tony Gonzalez to steep? And is Ridley any better option than Le'Veon Bell at RB (would allow me to play Ridley week 5 against Bengals, rather than Woodhead). thoughts?

Thinking about picking up Kendall Wright in my PPR league. I have 3 TEs and logic says I probably should drop one, but I can play another in the flex spot. Obviously Julius Thomas is a keeper, so it comes down to deciding to drop either Brandon Myers or Coby Fleener. Would you drop either for Wright, drop the Patriots DEF (picked up the Titans to play this week), or just stick with what I have? 9/26/2013 10:38:44 AM |

I would probably drop Fleener out of those 3. Dont know if I would drop him for Wright though.
I need a bye week replacement for Rodgers this week, who should I go with:
Alex Smith vs Giants Ryan Tannehill @ NO Mike Glennon vs. Arizona

^^I am in the same position and decided on Smith. I think he has the best potential of the 3 listed. ^Powell
I have been offered the following trade: I give Rice and RG3. I get Dez and Moreno. I already have Payton at QB. RBs are Rice, Richardson, McFadden. WRs are Wayne, Gordon, White.
Can start 2 RBs, 2 WR and flex.

Powell and Bell.
Jets D is good and CJ2K is slow this year. Moreno has such a split in carries too...Bell just fits better. 9/26/2013 1:48:24 PM |

Who would you start at flex:
Mike Williams vs. ARI David Wilson @ KC Ryan Matthews vs. DAL
If you picked Williams and he doesn't start (questionable as of now, and wth the whole playing with a rookie QB making his first start thing), who would you start between Wilson and Matthews? 9/28/2013 12:25:11 PM |
ncstatetke All American 41128 Posts user info edit post |
I have a feeling the Bucs are going to limit Glennon's passing attempts, unless the game gets out of hand. Thus, I wouldn't start Williams. Between Wilson and Mathews, I'd reluctantly say Wilson. He's BOUND to have a breakout game sooner or later
I need help with my flex, too. Bye week really screwed me -- here are my choices: Green-Ellis @ CLE Mendenhall @ TB Vincent Brown @ DAL 9/28/2013 8:58:01 PM |
Matlock All American 1255 Posts user info edit post |
Out of those choices, I would go with Green-Ellis. He seems like much more of a safe bet than your other options, unless it's a ppr league.
That's sorta what I was thinking with Williams. The fact that Glennon is starting bothers me more than the injury. Really hope this is the week Wilson does something to make me stop regretting drafting him. 9/29/2013 12:31:49 AM |

Non ppr 1 qb league. My normal starter is Rodgers, on bye this week. Sub is Big Ben. Playing Minnesota in London. Drop him and pick up Alex smith, playing NYG at home? 9/29/2013 9:40:22 AM |
Matlock All American 1255 Posts user info edit post |
I would prefer to have Smith over Ben no matter what the situation this year. The fact that he's going against the Giants at home makes it an even eaiser call.
Which ATL running back would you start this week, J. Rodgers or Snelling? 9/29/2013 10:24:09 AM |

^^I'd actually just roll w/ Big Ben. All the experts seem sold on him doing well today.

Between you guys talking up Big Ben, and the poor showing they had last week, I'm second guessing starting the Vikings D/ST today. Cardinals (vs. TB) and Cowboys (@ SD) are available. What do you think? 9/29/2013 11:43:50 AM |

the Steelers offense is mehhhhh.
Vick or Flacco? 9/29/2013 11:46:14 AM |
Matlock All American 1255 Posts user info edit post |
I'd probably lean towards Vick. I would rather have a QB likely playing from behind than one that could be playing with a lead, and I say that as a diehard Bills fan. 9/29/2013 11:49:17 AM |
justinh524 Sprots Talk Mod 27840 Posts user info edit post |
I'd still probably start Vick even though they're playing Denver. Flacco and the ravens just haven't looked good on offense all year.

there's no way I'd start the Vikings defense. sure, they're guaranteed to get you an interception, but they've also given up 9 passing TDs and Ben is coming off a 400 yard performance and has some confidence. I think he's going to light up the Vikings 9/29/2013 12:04:29 PM |
Matlock All American 1255 Posts user info edit post |
^^^That's a tought one, but I might go with Moreno with Bush coming back this week. However, I doubt there will be a huge difference in their fantasy production.
^^Easy call, go with Sanders.
^Yeah that's what I'm thinking. I was fine with it until the Sunday night game last week. My only other available options are the Cardinals and Cowboys. 9/29/2013 12:08:35 PM |

^^ I think I would go Ryan. I just think Vick could implode a little in Denver. But if I am wrong, I did not offer this advice haha.
With Pryor out (Rodgers on Bye) I need a QB
Carson Palmer @ Bucs Jake Locker vs. Jets Matt Flynn vs Redskins ( I am already starting denarious moore) Brian Hoyer vs. Bengals
Also for my flex: Denarious Moore vs Redskins (with Flynn as QB) or Steven Ridley @ Falcons?

Trade question going forward:
Standard Keeper League with max of 3 keepers (you can keep any pick 4th round or later , giving up next years pick pick in the previous round). Start 2 RB, 2 WR, and flex.
My team: WR Demaryius Thomas (kept in 5th round this year) WR Reggie Wayne (kept in 8th round this year) WR Myles Austin WR Denarious Moore
RB Ray Rice (1st round pick) RB Demarco Murray (3rd round pick) RB Bilal Powell RB Daryl Richardson
I was offered this trade,
I get: Hakeem Nicks (he was a 5th round pick this year) Giovani Bernard (he was a 6th round pick this year)
I give: Demaryius Thomas (I could keep him and give up 4th round pick next year)

If I had your current WRs and RBs, I would take this trade. The way Nicks (and the Giants) are playing this year, it's essentially Moore for Bernard, which looks to be a good move for the long term.9/29/2013 2:21:06 PM |
