State/Bernie/Hillary
Abroad/9/4 Arizona/30/44 Idaho/17/5 Utah/27/6
Total/83/59 (Bernie +24)
Even if you count just yesterday, he's +19. Where did you get +6?
And then there's the Zona provisionals and all the possible voter fraud to get sorted.

^ Hillary won absentee ballots by a lot. According to estimates, Bernie won election day votes 60-40. And it's likely the provisional ballots will go even further in his favor, because they include the independents who registered Dem to vote for him.
Counting the provisional ballots, like the secretary of state said would be done, will shift the delegate count pretty dramatically.
The mayor of Phoenix has called for an investigation and there will be a hearing on Monday.

1) you should only count pledged delegates 2) you should read the article, it explains why it was silly to decide she was the presumptive winner so early (largely due to her having such a lead because of early voters and early states but sanders gaining more support the more voters see him, but its not very long and discusses more so you should read it) 3/24/2016 10:03:01 AM |

The dems had an unusually low number of debates this year. That was almost certainly at Hillary's request and you can almost see her lips move when Debbie Wasserman-Schultz talks it seems very unlikely that the head of the DNC will be putting on any more official ones.
Maybe a powerful pro-Bernie democratic supporter (not sure who they've lined up behind, but say AFL-CIO) could sponsor one and force Hillary to decline, but yeah she only suffers in debates. 3/29/2016 6:06:27 PM |

If there was a debate sponsor, and Hillary was invited, she'd have to say yes. Otherwise she's giving him all the time he wants on primetime TV to talk about whatever he wants. 3/29/2016 7:34:44 PM |

Sanders is not on the D.C. ballot because the party made a filing "error" and submitted his name to the elections committee a day too late.
This is getting ridiculous.

This election cycle isn't really doing anything new, it's merely exposing how the parties work in very public ways. This has been a long time coming. Ron Paul in 2012 was a start of splitting the Republican party. The Libertarian wing of the party has been unhappy for a while. The tea party exposed how little control the establishment had over a large chunk of the base, and now Trump has almost taken control of the party through the white working class and the authoritarians.
The dems have a better firewall and a stronger hold on their party. Obama was a bit of a surprise and showed that the grass roots still held some sway. The way Bernie is being attacked by the Democratic establishment and how much support he is receiving from the voters is just exposing the disconnect between the Democratic power brokers and the voters in what they actually want.
If either of the parties steal the nomination from the person who wins the delegate count it could further weaken the parties and maybe break one or both.
One can only hope. 3/31/2016 4:27:37 AM |

I wouldn't mind a 4-candidate general election. A classic republican, a classic democrat, and then Trump and Sanders as the alternative to each. Would only work with preferential balloting, though. 3/31/2016 2:02:35 PM |

Most voters actually want lower gas prices. You can tell by all of the memes going around bragging about how obama made gas cheap. Its a party of fossil fuels. Republicans are at least honest about their position on climate change. 4/1/2016 3:05:16 PM |

THE AFRICAN-AMERICAN GAP BETWEEN CLINTON AND SANDERS IS GETTING SMALLER http://thesource.com/2016/04/03/the-african-american-gap-between-clinton-and-sanders-is-getting-smaller/
Quote : | "Here’s something you might be interested in.
In late February, polls had Hillary Clinton leading Bernie Sanders among African-Americans by 52 points in Wisconsin. Fast-forward a month later, and Clinton’s lead diminished to a nine-point lead, and by March 31, a new Public Policy poll had Sanders leading in African-American voters by 11 points.
poll
As the race has progressed past the South, we’ve seen Hillary Clinton’s support among non-white voters get smaller, and we’ve seen the once overwhelming gap that saw Sanders failing among non-white voters close up.
According to the latest Quinnipiac poll, Clinton’s 48-point lead in New York has been reduced to a mere 12-point lead. The poll also shows Sanders doing 300 percent better among non-white voters than he did in Mississippi. All the while, Clinton still holds 66 percent of the vote.
At this point it is unclear how far this momentum could take Bernie Sanders in the race, but it certainly shows the unforeseen triumph of anti-establishment positions and ideals." |

I'm convinced that if every primary was open, like real democracy, Hillary would have never stood a chance. They have done a really good job suppressing turnout with registration rules. By that logic, only establishment democrats (hillary supporters) are allowed to vote in a lot of these contests. 4/5/2016 9:24:12 PM |

Wow, so another Bernie win. This next debate is going to be huge for Hillary. She needs to make the case that Sanders is all talk and no follow through or it could be over.
I know it's only one race, but it's another race where polls showed her ahead and then she lost by double digits. If she can doesn't make some changes she could have real issues in the northeast and in California. 4/5/2016 11:08:32 PM |

the math is in her favor though so its probably safer just to run out the clock than to try and hit bernie. if she takes 8 point losses in every state, she still wins. if she takes a risk or steps too far to the left, it could ruin her chances. 4/5/2016 11:13:06 PM |
