I have been hearing Liverpool and Tottenham fans keep saying this since Christmas. Oh its only a matter of time till we pass you lot. Still waiting for that. If it were to happen at least I will be here to face the music instead of disappearing after making statements like these before the United game at Old Trafford:

Quote :
"I would be disappointed if we don't get all 3. Kane is scoring for fun and the entire team is clicking right now."

If you look back on page 11 I was here virtually after the game giving respect where it was due instead of talking shit and disappearing.

Its clear rival fans and pundits love it when United lose. Gives them some time to hate on England most successful team after decades of looking up at them. If United doesn't win there is plenty of fodder for the plebians.

Quote :
"Hindsight is 20/20 but I really have to hand it to Poch today. What a performance. I haven't see us this nullified before under Mou and in retrospect I think this was our worst performance of the year and credit to Poch for that. "

Stop bringing up what pundits say here, nobody but you gives a shit about that. Any normal sports fan knows to be ignore the talking heads

Personally, I didn't give a shit about United before you, so you should feel honored. All my bitterness and obsession is from a desire for you to give it a rest. I'm an American and a relatively new convert so I didn't really have a way in to English rivalries. You, sir, have given me that way and I thank you.

Now i guess I need to find an Everton fan to hate

Anyway, my final sentiment is that United are very inconsistent

^lol your very next post

To which I just said its hilarious these overreactions and generalizations in regards to United. Yep I should give it a rest. Valid we were shit and deserved to lose against Sevilla? Already admitted that. Memeing and shitting on us despite being 4 and 5 points ahead of your clubs. Hilarious. Still haven't heard one legitimate response as to how this shit for bricks United team is sitting in second. Almost as if we play well sometimes and don't play well sometimes.

Love that you keep saying you didn't care about United till you met me. Which is hilarious because not one person in here still has the balls to give us credit when we win. Almost as if you constantly talk shit I am going to give it back.

I mean you can read that post again. There is a reason we are sitting in second and not 3rd and 4th. We are consistent in the premier league. I don't see how that means we can't lose to Sevilla at home in the CL?

Quote :
"Again United still has been the most consistent team after City, not to say we are a class above but our consistency in beating teams below 6th is why I am still bullish we should be finishing top 4 and second. You saw just this week how inconsistent pool and chelsea are with their results against Swansea and Bournemouth. 3 of our 4 losses have been against the top 6, two of them away. 3 of our losses have been away from home (Huddersfield). Only City has managed to beat us at home. Again not saying United is a class above, just more consistent then the other 4 below us. This can also change but after 25 matches I have reason to believe it won't and if it does then fair play. "

Yep what I have said is so egregious. I would also like to remind you this was after you meming again posting that article about how we would inevitably finish lower than pool because De Gea can't keep performing that way. Well we didn't even need De Gea in our win against Liverpool so....

So again keep meming. Its all spurs and pool fans have going for them. That and glorious attacking football that wins multiple trophies.

Yes and you have deserved it so good for you. Not going to go around shitting on Liverpool because they have failed in one competition and done well in others. Which is what I am calling you out for in the first place for overreactions. Again I get it, easy to throw shade because football fans in essence are fickle.

^^^ that's funny coming from you considering all you've been doing is yelling SCOREBOARD about the PL table. Like being 3-4 points better than another team makes them so much better? When everybody is miles behind City (another thing you refused to admit for the longest time for some reason), who gives a shit.

I mean all everyone in here has been doing is shitting on United after every loss despite the clear progression because of one result. I swear I haven't see so much shit posting and hyperbole about one loss. I know I would rather have Sevilla knock us out of the round of 16 than play Europa again. Sorry I refused to admit we were miles behind city after 14 games? Its a 38 game season. Anything can happen. Rather back my team, especially when we have actually had a good season compared to the past 5 years.

I know the doom and gloom crowd would love it if Mourinho and United failed again but I am still quietly confident Mourinho is the right man for the job. Time will tell obviously but he has done a lot in the short term. If anyone even remotely says that the argument instantly turns to money. As if money is an indicator for success. Just ask City. Took them 6 to 7 years to convert money into on pitch success.

no here's the point man. All year you said results > performance. So what happens when you have neither? Yes Liverpool are frustrating but I legit have a good time watching the majority of their games.

And I have had a great time watching United win this year as well as I said its been our best year in 5 years. I agree that when you have performances like yesterday it isn't enjoyable but when you use yesterday as a microcosm for the season then you simply haven't watched United all year. Plenty of times this year I have seen purpose, attacking football and determination. Just recently Chelsea, Palace, and Liverpool come to mind. All three were exciting games where the team played with purpose.

Obviously I wish Jose had used a different tactic yesterday but he didn't. He can either adapt moving forward or risk losing and eventually losing his job. Results > performance always but obviously its nice to have both. I doubt any Liverpool fans going to enjoy it less if you win the CL with 5 1-0's from now onwards.

All the hyperbole since the loss:
- United is playing shit football (I don't know if meant style or level, and if he meant one game or multiple but you yourself essentially said they played shit)

- Losing to sevilla is embarrassing (prob true but Liverpool struggled with them too so I'll step away)

- Pogba and mourinho hate each other

That's pretty much it

Man what a shit show from Chelsea yesterday. If they lose to Leicester in the FA Cup Sunday (which based on current form of both clubs is a real possibility). Hard to imagine Conte being in charge after the international break.

It felt like that sort of result was inevitable at the Camp Nou, and exactly why fans and the press were giving Conte stick for not playing a striker and going for it at Stamford Bridge. A draw in the first leg was never going to be enough.

It's a completely different ball game if Chelsea goes to Spain with a lead to defend, instead of it being on them to have to score from the onset.

Barca and Bayern should feel like they've got a great chance to be through. Juve and Madrid is a toss-up, and I think City nips Liverpool but it's close especially since the first leg is at Anfield.

City is great obviously which is one reason I wanted to avoid them but I just hate domestic ties in CL. More fun to play new teams. At least LFC knows they can beat this team though.

Gotta think Barca/Bayern are thru. I hope Juve goes through. One of each of the top 4 leagues in the semis would be cool.

Knowing you're the only team that has gotten them to this point in the league is a nice confidence boost. That Anfield leg is a must win though. These are the matches that you spent gobs of money on VVD for. He's got to show up that evening and impact the game.

Very proud of the performance yesterday. Dele doing Dele things and it leads to one of the most beautiful goals of the season for the winner. That first touch

Now it's just about maintaining until the end of the season as having CL football 3 years in a row and opening the new stadium in that competition is crucial for the club. If they can hoist the FA cup and get that trophy monkey off their back too it would be such a huge psychological boost for everyone involved to building momentum going into summer.

De Gea is not going to Real Madrid, if any GK from PL is it will be Courtois. Like Conte and Hazard its pretty obvious he wants to leave.

Flo will be in hot pursuit if he stalls on that new deal before the WC and then has a great tournament for Spain. So many guys in that dressing room will be in his ear too. Could get interesting.

Anyone still legitimately believe Messi is a better player than Ronaldo? The CL record speaks for himself but my god the man has done it with United, Portugal and Real Madrid. I think there was a great argument to be made for Messi being better than Ronaldo but over the last two years I believe that is no longer true. Ronaldo edges him based on Portgual winning the euros and his CL exploits in the last two years.
