We’ve just played sloppy. Their shooters are better than ours. Their shooters were better at getting open than ours.

Very winnable game that is slipping away. VT hasn’t played great. But we’ve matched their bad turnovers and not been able to match their shooting.

Did you guys see the terrible in-game coaching from Keatts? Like the multiple Horne layups off underneath out of bounds throw ins? Or the substitution of Pass at the end of the first half? Or the press that led to a bunch of turnovers including 10 second violations and jump balls?

18 turnovers were too much to overcome. We were good at limiting turnovers but it seems like the last few weeks we are being too careless with the ball.

As it does every year, beating Q1 teams and not losing to Q3 or worse teams is going to the best thing we can do for our resume. Our NET ranking doesn’t matter that much if we don’t get bad losses and steal a couple good wins.

He sat the first several games of the year. Sounded like mental health stuff, although I don’t think any specific reasons were ever given. I’m guessing more of the same.

He’s already transferred once. So he would probably have to sit out again if he’s planning to transfer. But also the transfer rules seem to change every year so who knows.

Ugly so far. Giving up to many ORebs. We just don’t have the shooters/scorers to bail us out of these slumps like we did with T and JJ last year. Horne is fine but not as good as T or JJ…and he doesn’t have the benefit of a 2nd scoring guard to take the pressure off.

Refs went to monitor to review that elbow to Mo. def not a flagrant but a very obvious missed offensive foul on uva that gives them 2 points. Next possession Ben gets mauled with no call. UVA gets an easy dunk. Pretty cool 4 point swing from the refs.
