160 pages of cheating
Quote : | "Though they first met in their freshman year of college at UNC, Amanda and Jennifer have lived together since August 2007. Jennifer is a second year teacher and Amanda has enjoyed being involved in her classroom as a guest reader and field trip chaperone. A normal night in the apartment for these two usually includes a heaping dose of reality TV, conversations lasting hours and someone laughing until they are sore. Jennifer is very thankful that Amanda does not mind killing all of the critters that wind up in the apartment because she cannot stand bugs!" |

He jut goes on and on and he's not saying anything, nevermind being funny or interesting, its nothing but an endless stream of words." |
Now listen, you can or can not feel this way about David Glenn, that's your right and in the sports world, as we all know, people sometimes can and do or do not feel in ways that we may or may not agree with. The real question that any thinking man, any scholar, any paragon of intelligence, any person of rational intellect, basically and essentially anyone besides a mouth-breathing, cro-magnon, idiotic, syphilitic, message board idiot would ask is whether you have enough evidence to justify that feeling. Without evidence, you can only be convicted in the court of public opinion and as I know and you know and the lovely and talented Maria knows and my producer who I address by his full name knows, the court of public opinion only matters in horseshoes and tiddlywinks. More insightful information after the break.6/24/2011 12:57:57 PM |

that post above about DG is one of the greatest things I've read on TWW in a good while. Hit the nail on the head with that one
I left work early today and I shit you not, from the time period of 12:52 til 1:01 there was a 9 fucking minute commercial break on his show. He led the break by saying he would have some interview and top 10 list after the break. I listened to a song on a CD then turned back to 99.9, after about 30 seconds DG came back on and basically said the same thing that he said before the break and then WENT BACK TO COMMERCIAL for another 4 minutes. Jesus Christ, nine straight minutes of listening to Blaylock Paving commercials or that guy with the terrible lisp who promotes the ACC Sports Journal is unacceptable. 6/24/2011 2:08:16 PM |

Little was rumored to have blown the lid off the tutor scandal, IC's journalists are even throwing him under the bus for being cocky. He broke rules, then didn't toe the company line, and now he's being slammed even by UNC guys. Not something I'd do considering this guy likes to talk, a lot. It's going to be a long marathon that lasts a couple of years before we realize if Little or Austin casued more damage to UNC..........That link at the top to the wedding party I bet gets yanked real quick by her attorney. 6/24/2011 3:56:06 PM |

I saw on WRAL this evening the new info about the parking tickets (someone already linked that N&O article above) and they said that Marvin Austin's information was not released by UNC yet because he wasn't part of the court ordered release. It'll be very interesting when his parking records, cars, etc get released.
Here is the video:

The NCAA report makes clear that the scandal marks the most significant wrongdoing in a collegiate sports program in North Carolina since a basketball point-shaving scandal enveloped UNC-Chapel Hill and N.C. State University during the early 1960s. 6/25/2011 1:50:13 PM |

Quote : | "Wiley appears to have provided these impermissible perks while in Davis’ personal employ tutoring his son. The help came after she was let go by the university’s sanctioned tutoring program. Oh, and she did all this after receiving a letter from the school telling her not to provide any further academic assistance to student-athletes.
Davis and the university, meanwhile, have refused to provide any information about how much he paid the tutor. Wiley has lawyered up, refusing to talk to NCAA investigators about any of it.
They apparently still have something to hide. Or, maybe talking about where a college student gets nearly $1,800 to pay off another student’s debt is just too embarrassing. " |

Okay obviously a lot of us would love it if UNC received the Death Penalty, which isn't going to happen b/c that's only give out for repeat offenders, but what kind of penalties would make you satisfied with the NCAA's judgment?
For me I want some kind of post-season ban, preferably 2 years or more. I'd like loss of scholarships, perhaps 10 per year for 2 years or more. Lastly I'd like a vacation of wins, just because. I know it doesn't mean much, but it would reduce their overall win total that much closer to ours. I would be pretty content with that. The main thing is that they have their reputation tarnished by all of it and are forever seen as cheaters. 6/25/2011 5:05:37 PM |

I try to look at this from an unbiased POV, and I really do believe the NCAA should make an example out of them (multiple academic issues, misleading investigators, runner on staff, Hawkins being an agent and hanging out in the weight rooms, multiple players taking benefits, the "failure to adequately follow up" on a reported possible violation, etc). There wasn't one issue the NCAA found...there were NINE. That's a pretty big deal, IMO. The #2 coach on their staff was a runner for an agent...I would think the NCAA would really want to make an example out of that type of behavior.
And they should make UNC take down that 1924 Helms Foundation banner...
