He originally set the announcement date for Feb 3rd/4th which was supposedly his mother's b-day. He visits us and then announces he's moved his date up a week. Why are people upset over that? It sounds like he's going to be able to announce his decision on television, so if he DOES pick us(which we seem to be doing well as we're still being listed in his top 2), it'll give us great national recognition. Hell it'll be great at least seeing our hat on the podium for once with at least a chance at landing a top high school player. Still remember watching the Toney Baker announcement live.

It's really not uncommon at all for top25 players to put on a small production for their decision. It really doesn't say anything negative about their character. From what I've read and seen quoted, he's pretty humble for a "high profile adolescent".

Maybe he meant recognition for the school he chooses?

guess how many fucks I give about how common or uncommon it is. that's irrelevant.

and what you've read about him being humble may be true, but this decision certainly does not ring well with that description.

I don't like it when guys do this. I'd rather his abilities and actions speak for themselves. let him put his money where his mouth is, so to speak. IF he comes here and lights the place up, then fantastic. I'll forget any little production he wants to put on. and if he continues to do similar things, and grind the gears of other teams' fans, then I'll love him for it (see: Hodge, Julius). but let's do two things first pal: 1) commit here and 2) make good on all this hype (from others and anything self promoted)
