5 miles through downtown DC and around the tidal basin/potomac riverfront, plus an hour of squash this AM. creeping closer and closer to 175.

zumba zumba!!

and having been a dancer from 3 until my early twenties, I have realized how out of shape I really am doing zumba. I was once able to grande plié (or "squat") at 2nd position with ease, and it's not as easy as it once was. I'll get there

Went for a bike ride

After not being able to exercise much at all for the last two months, a little cardio felt gooooood. Now I get to go pick up my shiny new pullup bar from the office.

It was gorgeous out today, 70 and sunny without a cloud in the sky...

11 mi. bike ride to the gym
3 x 12 pull-ups
3 x 15 crunches with medicine ball
3 x 20 20 lb. lift
3 x 10 tricep thing
3 x 10 Nautilus ab thing
3 x 10 Hammerstrength peck/tricep thing
3 x 10 Hammerstrength shoulder/back thing
11 mi. bike ride home... all up hill

So I am sitting here writing down what I ate for the day and I cant figure out why the total is so low. After I ate a box of macoroni and cheese I realized I had left out an entire large pizza . Looks like today might be 4000 calories.

I was having trouble eating for a week due to illness and I bought cytosport mint chocolate. I mix that sucker in whole milk and add chocolate syrup......of course it tastes good. I bet it ends up near the 800 calorie mark.

I busted out a concrete slab with a sledgehammer and a pickaxe, and then I proceeded to haul the busted slab to the other side of the house and pile it up. I think beating on a tire would have been a little more forgiving.

I wont run (shin splints are back, damn 9 3/4' bball goal in wilmington that i could dunk on is to blame) but I'll go for a walk before it gets dark if anyone is interested. Damn gym was closed!

eli if you want to bulk up eat more chixen.

or you can eat a lot of what you are eating there too. chicken is typically teh magic touch for me.

cut down a 24 foot tall hedge, dragged it to the curb after cutting it up
dug holes for 4 trees, planted said trees

Now, I get to decide if I'm willing to take a pick/axe to the roots of the former hedge


was going to do bikram today, but decided I wasn't going anywhere

lol jen, like 98% of my motivation comes from this thought process. im competitive in a very latent way. i only really enjoy exercise in a group. i'm hardly the fittest, fastest or best but i'll be damned if i'm last or can't complete the task!
