well its not like i'm not looking for a meaningful relationship

i'm just not into steps

like you should be married by this age, have kids by this age, be doing this by this age

and i'm not even into the marriage, kids, whatever steps. and when i see other people going through the "steps" i feel like something is wrong with me. even though i know that is just works for them and what works for them doesn't necessarily work for me. but unfortunately what works for the majority doesn't work for me so it sometimes leaves me questioning myself...like what is wrong with me? or my relationship?

even though deep down i know the answer is nothing

I did it backwards. I dropped out of school. Got a job/career. Got married. Bought a new car. Bought a house. I adopted 2 beagle puppies and saved a siamese tabby mix kitty. Then I went back to school. I'm no where near where I'm supposed to be at 24, but fuck it. That's life. Live it how you want to. I'm happy LOVING my life. I wouldn't trade it for anything. Don't follow the standards. Don't be afraid to be different from the mold.
