exactly, this is what my doctor told me when he recommended them to me to help strengthen some small, weak muslces in my legs that help my knees. It creates instability and makes the legs use smaller muscles you don't use as much to compensate and so after a little over-usage the muscles start to ache and we're programed to think that if muscles ache then we must be doing it right. Overall the toning shoes don't do much for "toning" your legs than regular walking shoes but it does make people get out and walk and that's better than nothing.

I do black and brown ALL THE TIME! I really don't care that I am fashionably inept.

i do too. well not all the time, but it happens in the fall a lot. i think that black and brown up there looks cute. if it were a darker brown, perhaps not.

some of the reviews have been unfavorable... such as the material feeling cheap. but it's SO cute i kind of just want to see for myself. ugh... one of the reasons i hate shopping online.

i'm not sure that ^^grey one would look good on me. it just doesn't seem like it would look good on my body type. i'm going to think about the other 2 for a day maybe. i really like them but i'm just worried they aren't going to fit well. but the return policy is pretty simple and i'd only be out the $7 shipping.

i think both the red and the yellow cuts would look good on your body type.

i like both colors a lot though so it would be hard to choose!

just do it ModCloth is awesome for returns or any issues

I left a bad review about the zipper on my flower dress... how awesome the dress was except for that stupid zipper and how I was going to replace it

they offered for me to return it for a full refund or give me an extra 15% discount if I kept it and replaced the zipper

ugh my face is soooo broken out right now and i almost NEVER have break outs. i might get one zit there if i have a break out but now i have like 6. it doesn't really coincide with anything hormonal so what is it from? stress? food? i don't even know. my diet hasn't changed. i am guessing stress. i washed all my pillowcases today just incase and i've been washing my face with the medicated wash and using the medicated facepads after.

ahhhh.

how can i clear this shit upppp?? it is so fugly and awful and they are the ouchy kind of zits.

^^ Meg let me know how those dresses work. I've ordered from Modcloth before and the dresses always look great online, but either fit weird or are a thin fabric.

will do. i'm hoping they fit well and aren't shitty quality. from the reviews i read the website can be a little hit/miss as far as the clothing goes.

^^i swear by proactiv. it's a little expensive (for me) and the customer service is kind of shitty but it has done a lot for me. if you don't need it all the time check out their website and see if there is anything for sporadic breakouts

Eric's mom is an awesome seamstress so she fixed it for me... it was a hidden zipper and was too close to the fabric and straight up broke the first time I wore it

she fixed it, now I wear it all the time it's the one in my FB profile pic

I get one really awesome/amazing/expensive haircut per year, and whenever I need a trim I go to the training academy. I've never had a bad experience and the trainees are watched very closely. I've had cuts, colors, styles, etc done there over the years and I highly recommend it.

Ugh. I keep getting emails from ACE (my personal training cert) about how awful these things are. Here's a good article:

i bought an eyelash curler from sephora

its a travel one that folds, not one of those metal ones that looks like a torture device

and i pinched my eyelid in it the other day. thankfully not bruising but my eye started watering like crazy right away

this is my new thing. every 2-3 years i pick up a new girly habit. 3 years ago i started wearing eyeliner.

this thread inspires me to work out so I'll have a nice figure to wear these clothes you guys are always posting

but I guess for my wallet's sake, it's kind of good that I don't.

^^^ i like white in winter now. winter white. i guess it is more of an off white. i also think white pants are ok depending on the material (obviously no linen or seersucker). there are even white cord blazers that are cute.

^^ i have never been one for curling eye lashes. i've never noticed a difference doing it (for myself anyway). do you notice a difference? i go through phases with eye liner. mostly because it is a pain and i am not very makeup savvy. maybe if i knew how to do it like the models haha.

but for the record I was specifically talking about summery-white garments and SHOES

i think i'm more careful about fabric and style of clothing than color

but when it stays in the 80s sometimes through the end of october, i think there is a little more leeway. even though the south is the one that perpetuates the labor day white rule, lol.

Is it acceptable to wear seersucker after labor day?

I feel yes...at least til 9/21...after is questionable

Do you live in NC? There's no reason for us in the South to follow rules made up by New Yorkers. Like khcadwal says, if it's still 88 degrees out, you can wear seersucker!

I don't really like shorts being dressed up in general. To me pairing shorts with heels or stockings or whatever just seems weird. But maybe that's just because I can't pull it off.
