no-he is right...it is Wang only pronounced Wong- And i don't know mucha about the braves other than smoltz is a far better starting pitcher than Wang. He gives up so many hits and "usually" has no longevity...

damn A-Rod had a clutch hit? Oh well atleast the Braves didn't look retarded like they have been against the Blue Jays, Red Sox, Marlins, Nationals, etc. That was a crappy loss for them though. Sosa doesn't look like the answer, even though I'm holding out hope.

^^ I'm pretty sure they're not talking about Jorge Posada.

Perhaps Jorge SOSA...the guy who gave up the game-winning homer to A-Rod.

Oh come on. All fanbases have dumb fans. And they're always the loud ones, too.

If you read Sports Talk you know I'm not.

And I am DEFINITELY a Yankee fan.

Well I know you were talking about him. But I had to defend the rest of us.

The reason I don't post much about them is that I'm pretty much the most superstitious person in the history of everything, and I'm afraid to jinx them. If I don't talk about them on here, I can't accidentally say something that will jinx them.

this is the first i've heard of smoltz actually saying he'd go so far as to waive the no-trade clause

as much as i'd hate to our franchise pitcher leave, i'm all in favor of getting some young arms for the bullpen that can help us in the years to come

Leo's back in town tonight. Hopefully he'll go and kick Reitsma and Sosa in the faces just because they both have horrible mechanics and obviously never listened to anything he ever told them.

I know the O's have a terrible ERA this year too, but I wouldn't mind if we just shaved McDowell's head and put a gay little mustache on him and sent him over to the O's dugout while Leo came over to ours for a few games.

^^ completely agree. Smoltz, while I will forever remember him as one of the few quintessential braves, we need to look to the future, not the past.

What back to back wins? We won on Fri, lost on Sat, won on Sun. If you mean back to back series wins, then your wrong too because the Yankees took 2 out of 3 from us to start the week. Atleast we are playing .500 ball now instead of losing 21 out of 24 or whatever it was.

Thomson has officially turned back into a garbage pitcher again. Man he threw great the first month and a half or so, but lately he's been terrible.

Also I heard some good news that Reitsma is likely out for the season. Good riddance - I bet he never pitches another game in a Braves uniform.
