People are crazy. My brother and sister in law took my niece to Disney like 4 times before she was even old enough to give a crap about it. And when we were there on our honeymoon, I saw some lady there with a baby so newborn that it was still all red and wrinkly.



And yeah, I didn't go for the first time until our honeymoon -- haha, that's why Josh chose Disney.

cripes my whole family is raising agoraphobics

my cousin's wife is freaking impressive at looning out about weird shit

she enslaved every woman in my family to throw a freakishly overblown first birthday party for her (unbelievably adorable) daughter. the center was supposed to be "an organic carrot cake with all natural ingredients". thing is, she overcompensated for the general nastiness of carrots by making the cake mega sweet. then she topped it with a frosting that was little more than butter (organic!) with a little (organic!) sugar in it. it was fucking NASTY and the kid wouldn't eat it. she even tried cramming it down her little neck till she vomited.
So her brother in-law sees how upset the little one is and gives her a taste of a pudding pop. She LOVED it and went to take a second taste... whoops. momma saw it. She fucking FLIPPED and started demanding to know if it was "organic pudding". DUde was all like "hell if I know, she likes it though". then she snatched the little one up and started trying to cram more cake down her throat.

this is not atypical behavior for the women now part of my family

There's a certain womanly individual loosely related to our family with some similar issues.

In this case it involved freaking out that a child must have had a temperature after said child was playing outside, making him go to bed, giving him a lot of benadryl, then freaking out more as he got sick and giving him more benadryl. Issue? Kid didn't have a very big breakfast and was going to eat when he came back inside. Was having a blast outside so obviously he got a little hot. Then mom made him take a shit ton of benadryl until he started throwing up (both due to stress and likely some of the less pleasant side effects of liquid benadryl).

Good stuff.
