Anyone know which CVS store out of all of the Raleigh area is the most likely to still have FAECB items still in stock? I managed to get several items that I wanted, but there are still a few things that I wasn't able to get - the 2 CVS stores I went to were about wiped out of the sale items. There have got to be like 10 CVS stores around, but I am not sure which would be the least-visited.

I was there at 8:30a and there was a group of 4 who had been there since 7a according to the cashier. She said they came in and each of them went a different direction with their own carts, and they grabbed as many of each FAECB product as they could - basically wiping out the whole store inside of 10mins. Then they were huddling in the back going over what they could buy and which card they could use....they sat there forever with all this stuff in their cart, having not even checked out yet!

They started doing small orders one by one, each time going back to the Pharmacy department to huddle and plan strategy...OMG it was freaking nuts.

For my first Sunday FAECB shopping experience, I gotta say that if this is how it is going to be every weekend - I will quit right now. I was pissed, to say the least. I didn't get the EAS drinks, A&H kits, and several other things that I didn't really want but I noticed they were gone. I did get 2 rainchecks though.

CVS at Tryon/Walnut, diagonal from the new HT and next to that ginormous church thing.

OH and I just realized after checking my receipt that I did in fact get the wrong Loreal eye shadow - no wonder my transaction total was so high. Now I get to make a return!

The 2 day sales are always horrible like that, and it's worse because most stores will not write rain checks for the 2 day stuff. I have cut way back because it's so hard to find stuff in stock, and it's a PITA to get a rain check if you can even get one.

well she returned my eye shadow no problem, and i kinda used $2 worth of coupons on the items, but got full price back when i returned them...

i got a rain check for 1 of the EAS drinks and 2 of the A&H kits. i could have gotten more, but not worth it to me. takes them forever to write out those damn RCs.

^^^^^^ Oh man, I went to that one late in the day, there wasn't much left.

Luckily, I went to the Garner one down the street from me, and they had a LOT of stuff left

I didn't want to make a separate thread on this but thought I'd share something that's happened to me twice in the last 3 days at the same grocery store. I go there almost every day because it's right next to my house...

So I went in Friday night just for a bottle of wine. Found the bottle I wanted for $8.99 on sale with the club card. Take it to the register and it rings up $11.99. I tell her it was $8.99 and she has to call the wine dept. and verify. Of course, it was $8.99. Well, that grocery store's policy is that if an item is mis-marked, you get the item free PLUS $5.00 cash. So I got a free bottle of wine and $5.00.

So I go in again this AM to get a bottle of juice and some ear drops for my son. The juice was $3.99 and the ear drops were $9.99. The ear drops rang up as $11.99. I tell the lady they were def. $9.99 and she is pissed cause she has to walk to the end of the store and check. So she comes back and says "Yeah, they were $9.99" and I say "No, they are free." She says "Oh Yeah!" thinking that I didn't know their policy. I then say "Use the $5.00 to pay for the juice and please put the change in the Ronald McDonald donation box" and walked out. Free juice, free ear drops, and 72 cents to charity.

I've heard that people went yesterday to Walgreens, found them and then hid them so they could get them this morning

I've also heard people bought them yesterday, and returned them this morning. Then turned around and bought them again, getting the $10 RR. Why didn't I think of that?

You are a good couponer if you get the cvs deals, I actually needed most of the things free after ecb's this time

I got wayyy drunk Saturday night and went to CVS around 3 pm to get my free excesdrine and halls cough drops. I got both those items free and did one listerine...this woman came in behind me and grabbed 5 listerines and hurried up to the cash register. I swear, some people really are crazy.

I got to my hometown, Lexington sunday night and took my mom to show her how ECB's work and to get her some stuff. I spent 40 cents and 27 cents and got two contact solutions, 2 listerine, an air wick sprayer thingy, some eye shadow, some nail polish...

They had almost everything and I got a raincheck for the arm and hammer essentials...to use in my classroom

I love this CVS in Lexington.

Thumper: Sucks you had a bad first experience...just keep in mind that you are not crazy and you should not let yourself get frusterated because people out there are. Just roll with the punches and get the next deal. It works that way sometimes.

this cvs thing is interesting. what do you guys do with all the stuff you get?

do you find that you have excess "inventory" at your house or apt and end up donating some of your supply to charity or anything?

i tend to stock up on staple items like shampoo, conditioner, shaving cream, etc when im at the store only because i dont want to go back later. i usually stock about 6-12months of personal care items

if i could get this shiz for free, i can really get my budget in line!

I stock up on shampoo, soap, razors, conditioner and feminine products

I also let my brother, sister-in-law and her fiance pick through my pile every once in a while....when they leave my house, they say they feel like they just robbed a CVS.

I stockpile lots of razors, toothpaste, shampoo, etc. Every time we have someone visit, I give them a bunch of stuff. Also, I sold a LOT in a yardsale last summer.

I did that last night too! And I used the $3 off Lumene Q for some shower gel. All Lumene products are 50% off right now, so it was $7.99 - 50% - $3Q = $1 OOP.

I thank each of you for getting me hooked on this!

I don't end up with a huge surplus. I have about 2-3 months of supplies and the rest I have given to mom or friends or guests. I can't speak for anyone else in this thread but just because I can get it for free doesn't mean I do. I hate clutter so I try to just keep what I need on hand.

I met up with another couponer who shared a LOT with me for my nieces and nephew's christmas stockings. Couponers share a lot. And then again, they can also be very greedy.

rumor has it that HT is having triple coupons Jan 1-4 (thurs-sun)

there's a ton of coupons expiring on 12/31, but the Jan 4 paper is going to have 5 inserts. i think i'm going to sit out for first 3 days of triples, wait for the new batch of coupons, and then rock the Teeter on the last day of triples. nothin' like some free groceries to kick off the new year!
