UNC is 24th in the nation in Points allowed.

I hate UNC just as much as you guys, but thats no reason to kid yourself. Their defense is still FAR AND AWAy the 2nd best in the conference.

Total yard stats are misleading becuase they account for junk yards and stalled drives. No one in their right mind would argue that FSU's d has been better than VT's.

GT holds people to less yards because their potent rush offense shortens the game. At the end of the day, you have to know a little bit about football.

And scoring defense is immune to this? In fact you could argue that lessening the number of possessions would drastically change a teams scoring defense. At the end of the day, you have to be capable of basic logic to understand this so obviously you don't.

You are right. Stats don't mean everything including the stat of "points allowed against clemson" that you guys are going by. Really though, I'm the fool for expecting people in a thread called "chapel hill loses!!!!!!!!!" to juge the prowess of UNC's defense in a fair way. Our two scholarship place kickers are injured and taking redshirts this year. Moore is a walk-on and really had no chance to make either of those kicks into a strong wind. I understand kicking the second one as it was 4th and very long but the first never should've been attempted as it was a 43 yarder and only 4th and 6. Should've gone for it there.

Punting has been an issue mainly because of punt protection. Hibbard is a good punter when he has time but he's often hurried.
