Crosby is impeccable at being a douche bag. I've heard this from multiple people who work within the NHL. However, he's a damn fine hockey player and will only get better. For my money though, I'd take an Ovechkin over a Crosby any day.

It feels good to see Staal get a gold medal and be one of the people who helped to get Canada's offensive game going after a slow start, but I hate that little fag Crosby. I like Ovechkin simply because I don't think he's a complete vagina. Crosby gets shit handed to him by NHL officials on a silver platter and is just amazing at being an absolute douche bag. I'd love to see Timmy Gleason or Scott Walker lay the living hell out of him in any game we have with Pittsburgh coming up.

As much as I want to see the Canes succeed I hope this break has put a break in their good play and they can get a top 3 pick to along with the core of the team for next year.

Because Ovechkin is funny, seemingly laid back, doesn't portray the qualities that make Crosby look like a spoiled child in a candy store, and I prefer his very Russian style of puck handling and flair.

The US team completely impressed me. I was skeptical coming into the Olympics, but from the first game you could tell they were for real. I think it was a combination of young, hard skaters and some tremendous role players. Patrick Kane's puck handling comes to mind. Rafalski played outstanding. Parise skated his head off, it looked like a first shift every time he was out on the ice. I could go on and on.

You had to know that 4 on 4 hockey wasn't something the USA had the advantage in though. They played great, Miller was exceptional and they fought hard through the whole tournament, but they didn't have the offensive fire power that Canada had at all. 4 on 4 hockey provided too much open ice for them to be able to clog up the lanes and block the passes and shots as effectively. I wouldn't have minded it as much if someone other than Crosby had scored - I was really hoping that if the USA were to lose then it would've been Staal. Crosby is a force on the ice, but I just think he's a complete pussy.

Canada is definitely the better team when it comes to the passing game, something that stood out from the first game in which the US won. I think the US out skated the Canucks in both games though.

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of the 4v4 OT in a playoff type game. I much prefer a 5v5 sudden death OT (no shoot outs) in the medal round.


Great game though, should help the NHL in terms of ratings.

i'll freely admit sid's nowhere near the physical force, and is way more of a finesse player. also, ovie takes over games, sid doesn't really do that, it's more "there's that guy again."

ovie's physical, but when he gets called out, he gets someone else to fight his battles (semin and green beat someone with their purses). now, sid's also got people who protect him, but ovie's got fewer fighting majors than crosby.

crosby has more fighting majors than ovechkin.
