So I started lvling quite a bit faster playing HQs. I picked up the Ak47u, which I'm in the middle of a love hate relationship with atm. I'm still 4 lvls away from the AUG unfortunately.

What's everyone's primary weapon of choice? AR, SMG, LMG? I miss my SCAR

I think ghost is unbalanced. without stopping power there is no real trade off.

I got a sentry gun in a care package, and another sentry gun on Nuketown one time...called them both in...ended up putting one in the back yard looking at one side of the house, and the other looking at the other...then I just trained my own gun on the interior doors of the house...fish in a barrel

My buddy and i were having trouble playing together last night. He told me earlier today that i needed to port forward my router and also dmz the ps3. Is this true? He sent me to portforward.com with instructions. Never had to do this with other games.
I can play multiplayer fine by myself. We were just having trouble playing together.

^^^I don't have a side yet, in a week or two I'll let yall know my gamertag but I'm using this and the kinect as a reason to finally jump on the console bandwagon. When 90% of my friends are playing 360 it just makes sense. But I'm gonna be terrible until I get the controls down.

i just started SP and have lost the first level like 10 times in a row...

my friend soldiers keep walking out and when i shoot the rpg at the BTR, they keep dying and it makes me start that part over...

Has anyone had trouble doing any of the campaign missions? After completing the second mission (escaping from the Vortuka), I try to start the third mission and several things happen.

1. Picture freezes and audio continues. When audio finishes, nothing happens.
2. Picture and audio go on for about 10-15 seconds and everything freezes.

I had to remove the disc to check to see if it was clean when I was going through the Vortuka mission, because I lost all voice overs. After another try or two I got through Vortuka fine.

Speaking of the campaign, Sam Worthington has one of the worst American accents I've ever heard. Why he continues to get American acting roles and voice overs is beyond me. He should stick to Fosters commercials.

Nope, if you read back it, I thought it was going to be awesome until 30 mins in and the game is host to some serious network and in-game lag in the multiplay, plus a lot of other minute details that got annoying very fast. Plus for some reason, I'm still getting some serious internet play issues with death dealing lag spikes that still actually take my internet down.

I was playing it last night and was doing really well, till bam, lag spike from hell, kicks me off the net. I've never had any issues with net play on any other game; I've already had ports open and dmz my main gaming rig since day 1 and no dice. I just switched to google's DNS so I'm hoping that could solve my issue but it's ridiculous.

Black Ops gives me a "transmission error" when I get the issues.

Usually I too have little need to port forward modern games for internet traffic, but it won't hurt to go through the steps to do it, plus it should be very easy (unlike my old ancient router that I have to rcon with a serial port... )

get the PC version if you want to play competitively. get the 360 version to pub.

pubbing on the PC is nowhere near as fun as on XBL.

i saw some of you guys online last night - did the hot patch to multiplayer fix any part connection issues? you'll see the version number has gone up - it's not a game patch through XBL or anything.

The little "patch" for the PC version was last Thursday, waiting on a new patch to fix the in-game lag now and they said it was going to come out early this week. Nothing yet. At least the "hot fix" for the servers kind of reduced the issue to be at least playable.

I hope the patch they promised will come out before the first rounds of competition, which I'm sure they will. Pretty excited for the 4v4 matches, a lot of the maps on pub get too crazy IMO with 18 ppl.

And plz plz plz PLZ, someone fix the god damn Kill Cam, I feel like a retarded kid drugged up on caffeine pills, LSD, and Oxycontin. I think the funniest one I've seen when someone n00b tubed a guy in the back and the guy's body goes up in mid air; at about 5 ft feet the guy's body stretches to something like 40 feet and goes ape shit crazy with the rag doll effect.
