this is accurate. its called ball control. Pretty hard to give up yards on defense when your quarterback has the ball picking up first downs.

I think that by this point it is safe to say that our problems are not QB related.

Correct. QB is not our biggest weakness but the others could be offset by having an elite quarterback.

#3 in the the Atlantic east region. not sure what that meant nationally.

but it's funny that he was ranked ahead of Matt Ryan

Next week will be when Wilson can really get his Heisman campaign rolling if he puts up big numbers against Nebraska and gets a win in primetime.

OK, I'm not crazy. Rivals had him as the 9th QB in the class on their Rivals 100.

Also, I barely remember Kyle Wright at Miami for some reason.

^^Kyle Wright and Kirby Freeman were both bigtime 5* recruits at Miami. Kyle Wright was supposed to be the second coming, he was Tebow before Tebow. Nike even made special red contacts for him that season, and all sorts of new gear....talk about laser vision. To bad he sucked, and freeman wasn't much better!

^^what he is studying i dont know, but it also does not matter if it that curriculum is offered here or not

We RELEASED him and he also had eligibility left. Had we not released him, but due to his undergrad completion (obvoiusly graduation), he could play anywhere that offered a grad school major that NC State does have just on his own terms. Since he graduated he would not have to sit out the transfer year. It's a loophole to reward the STUDENT-athlete with options.

If I am wrong someone correct me but that's what I have taken out of literature presented to me about this.

Classless. Most Wisconsin fans have been gracious for the opportunity to get Russell Wilson. Glennon is not the problem. Dude has a 10:3 TD:INT ratio iirc. Russell in all his greatness couldn't help this team and it's defensive problems.

do you really think he's going to keep a ratio anything close to 10:3 once we start playing teams with defense?

^^Thats speculation. Going on the current numbers, the defense is clearly the problem

I think the sign says, " Hey O'Brien, Hows Glennon Treating You"

It all goes back to the Cincinatti game. I'm sure the people made the sign in response to that game. Anyone who watched the game that A. isn't deaf and can hear the announcers, or B. has an ounce of football knowledge, knows that glennon was bad in that game.

You guys, on the other hand, think he played great against Cincinnati which is proof that you already have your mind made up that he will play great or just don't know shit about football and say that after seeing two long td passes, because it can't get much worse than that.

[Edited on October 1, 2011 at 10:32 AM. Reason : are you looking at our last game or our fcs games?]

look dude, regardless of competition, glennon has proven he is a pretty good quarterback. you can't just ignore his touchdowns and completions to prove your point like you say we're doing with his mistakes. you know he still has to actually throw the passes for those long touchdowns, right? yes, he has made some mistakes, but in no way can you put any of our losses on him. i'll take that.

ignoring positive points in favor of only the negative is proof that you already have your mind made up he will suck.

I'm not ignoring his positive points. I think he is good but has played bad especially in the cincy game. 2 great plays in a game is not enough to consider it a good game when the rest of the game was horrible. he made 2 great plays but needed more consistency for his game to be considered a good game. He negated those great plays with more awful plays.

It doesn't matter how good Glennon is. He's just getting his first game experience. We are essentially just pissing this year away. RW gave us a chance to win every game, made our running game better, made so many different things better about our team because he's fucking scary.

We would definitely have a chance to win the Atlantic with RW here. Now we have to win 5 of 8 to make a fucking bowl.

[Edited on October 1, 2011 at 12:12 PM. Reason : not putting our losses on Glennon...but I am saying that the absence of RW contributes bigtime]

so, which year would you have us piss away? this year, or next year? honestly. which year would you have preferred us to piss away? and how would you then sell your team to recruits? "Hey, man, you can come in here and work your ass off all year and all summer and then not play because some other guy who didn't practice with the team is treated like a god". yeah, that's REALLY going to fly well. or, how about this? "hey, you'll be starting. *two months later* yyyyyyyeeeaaahh. about that..."

hey man, come play here where a strict set of self imposed rules and expectations are more important than winning! We may not ever win a championship, but at least you won't have to worry about playing alongside multisport talents who disrespect spring practice and you won't have to deal with a situation like what those poor kids up in madison are going through.
