While downloading WebOS Doctor I decided to delete my apps and settings but not do a full erase

It restarted, I logged into my Palm account, it downloaded all the HP apps I previously had and I put in my passwords for synched accounts and it reconfigured the email, facebook, etc accounts

everything works, i just gotta redownload the Preware apps

It's built-in. Just press Power+CenterButton ... You should see a sort of flashbulb effect and shutter sound to indicate a screenshot. Find them in your Photos app.

The Netflix thing is a tough thing actually. Depending on how good the build is and what it's derived from it might work, but might not. I think it'll come down to tricking the Netflix app that it's a different device, as that was the only way to get it to work on my Nook Color when I finally got it to do so. I hope it does, but I don't know if it'll be right away that it does work.

so i opened one up and am very impressed....webOS is very slick (after disabling logging), speakers are awesome, and the display is crisp and even (even more than my iPad 2).

HP built a great product, surprisingly...I guess the price point was the only major issue.

^ What hotel are you at that doesn't have wifi, I thought all did? Plus, being a frequent traveler, your wifi-tether will probably give better speeds than 90% of hotels regardless of amount of service. I use mine all the time when traveling otherwise it's too frustrating.

the CPU is actually underclocked, you can 'overclock' it to spec for the CPU, and it becomes much more fluid. Things were a bit "choppy" for me until i did that as well.

Or do you mean the overall look and feel?

I think it's almost as good as ios, just wish it had more commercial apps like Netflix, etc.

I think the scrolling animation is smoother on IOS which is good because to switch between "apps" you have to do a lot of navigating. I use a touchpad and ipad more often then I should .

Seems to be pretty snappy even without any patches. You can now supposedly pair the Touchpad with non-webOS devices and make/receive calls and texts. Was able to receive a call fine but got an error after an outgoing call connected.
