Wow at one point in last night's game the Braves made 24 consecutive outs Thankfully the pen was stellar and they won, but wow the Braves lineup is seriously flawed. BJ Upton probably needs to be sent to the minors or outright released (dude is the 2nd coming of McLouth).

1. Justin Upton is batting something like .209 or .219 since May 1st. sheesh

2. Freeman missed a couple weeks with his injury. Give him a couple more weeks with the number he has been putting up and he may be sitting with 12 homers and 70 RBI. With those numbers, he more than likely does make the All-Star team.

i'm to the point where i honestly can't watch his at bats. he's so far gone from making any sort of contact it's almost ridiculous. he can't even hit a belt high fastball on the plate. just swings right over it.

^3 C'mon, you can't release anyone who is making $15 million per season, in the first year of the deal. Maybe send him down to the minors for a little while, but schafer is on the DL right now and I don't trust reed johnson for any extended period in center field. Will be really interesting to see what the Braves do at the trade deadline position-player wise, as they will obviously be going after bullpen help. At least Heyward and Uggla are back to hitting decent now and aren't total liabilities

FFFs avg and on base % make him a great candidate for the allstar game

Puig will miss a routine pop fly like Harper did last year or he will kick another ball into the stands

Baseball is the only sport where during the all star game every player is trying their hardest. Hence position players with the least amount of errors and fielding % combined with hitting stats SHOULD be awarded.

^ How did he do last night? I saw that Christhian Martinez is officially done for the year now too so that makes three key relievers now gone for 2013. Pretty shitty. Braves must be racking up some medical bills with all these arm surgeries.

Good win last night. Teheran did not pitch well, but the offense kept plugging along and pulled off another comeback. Why doesn't Fredi move Chris Johnson up in the lineup? Dude should be hitting in the #2 hole until he cools off IMO. Lineup should be:

1. Simmons or Heyward
2. Johnson
3. FFF
4. J-Upton
5. McCann
6. Simmons/Heyward
7. Struggla

not a very exciting line, but they showed some highlights of his outing last night during the postgame show and (i know it's still early) he just didn't seem to have any zip



^I think Heyward is starting to round into shape and should stay in the 2 hole. but I completely agree with you that FFF should be batting third. If BJ and Uggla weren't struggling as bad as they are Johnson might get moved up to the 6th spot. but if you put BJ, Uggla, and the pitcher's spot in the bottom of the lineup you are almost guaranteed a three up, three down inning. at least CJ gives them the opportunity to roll the lineup over.

LOL at pulling the race card. It had nothing to do with the fact that Freeman would be on a 130-140 RBI pace if he hadn't missed any time and that he's the best hitter on a 1st place team. It was only them damn racists. ESPN needs to clean house with some of these reporters/commentators who play up this race angle all the time like Jamelle Hill and Bomani Jones. They got rid of Rob Parker at least.

I like too that Freeman had 4 RBIs last night which is about 25% of the total that Puig has thus far.
