Voting for Parker is fine, especially for a Duke beat writer. But I just read the article and she is just a twat. Why even bring up a dumb tweet from December or whenever that had nothing to do with Warren as a player. Troll on twitter to your heart's content but don't inject that bullshit in to your actual work. 3/10/2014 7:03:04 AM |

We got this. Gary Hahn said he's voting for TJ.
What's crazy about TJ's 42 yesterday was the way he got his points. Aside from some of his runners in the lane, almost all of the points were hustle baskets -- transition layups, offensive rebounds put backs, etc.
His jump shot was off all night, and he didn't hit a single 3. He just played within himself and ended up with a career high. Hard to believe a guy having an off-shooting night can score 42 points. 3/10/2014 8:11:55 AM |

He has got to be the best finisher in the lane of any SF/PF in college basketball right now. I am actually surprised when TJ misses shots in the lane, contested or not.
This season has had its ups and downs, but this guy has been so much fun to watch throughout all of it. 3/10/2014 10:52:57 AM |

Quote : | "What else we'll be talking about in the morning: North Carolina State's T.J. Warren hits the 40-point mark for the second straight game.
The buzz surrounding Warren's candidacy for ACC Player of the Year and All-American has been growing every week -- and he's ending it with a bang. After scoring 41 points against Pittsburgh earlier in the week, Warren topped it in against Boston College. He put up 42 points and 13 rebounds, shooting 14 of 23 from the field and 14 of 17 from the free-throw line. Warren is averaging 24.2 points and 6.9 rebounds on the season.
So what about Warren for ACC Player of the Year? Detractors would say that because the Wolfpack are likely not going to the NCAA Tournament, Warren shouldn't win the award. However, no player has been better in ACC play than Warren, regardless of his team's 9-9 conference record. He is the most game-planned-for player in the league, since he's clearly NC State's primary option. He doesn't have a Rodney Hood or a Tyler Ennis like Jabari Parker or C.J. Fair, and he doesn't have a smorgasbord of talented big men like Marcus Paige. He's got himself, and he's basically willed North Carolina State to nine ACC wins. Take Warren off the Wolfpack, and I'm not sure they're better than Boston College or Virginia Tech or Miami. It's not All-American honors, it's conference Player of the Year -- which I think should take into account value to team. And no one has been more valuable than Warren. He should be ACC Player of the Year." |

So I take it that there are 77 total voters vs the 120 we were thinking earlier. Not that 120 was incorrect but that only 77 voted. Unless some voted for POY but not the All ACC teams.
Also, just saw where David Teel (Virginia Media guy) said on David Glenn show that he voted for TJ

Wonder if the same voter left Parker off solely to prevent any unanimous 1st teamers.
If so that person should lose their vote immediately.
Oh we are talking about coaches poll as opposed to the media poll that came out earlier. Did not realize they both voted.
