Paige is a winner and thats the most important stat. Everyone knows hes a deadly shooter who struggled last year but almost won it all because he savrificed for berry with a smile on his face.

Cat is a guy who scored a bunch of points in garbage time and finished near the bottom of the conference. Cat leaving early is also a bad sign. A sign that he doesnt want to be a teammate and is selfish so youre right. Its not even close.

You guys were delusional about cat all along. You madeup your mind that he was ready for the nba before the season even started. Putting up big numbers as a pg and losing is nothing special. Scouts see right through that. Now that reality has set in, you dont want to accept it and want to blame the media for the nba not drafting cat.

All the while you remain in denial of the glaring problem with your coach. Everytime a player quits the team there is some sort of excuse but the pattern is pretty clear. Its not normal for high level talents to leave early and not be drafted. Its only normal for our program. Every guard has fled the program. Every player has fled the program except anya.

3 pt shooting is at a premium in today's NBA. Cat never demonstrated a reliable 3 pt. shot. Doesn't really matter though as neither of them will likely be on an NBA team in a couple of years.

eh. they're both have a ceiling of being backup pgs. paige is a better shooter and distributor. barber is good at using his speed to beat defenders. neither is much good at defense. it really just depends on what the team drafting wanted.

And my point is that woth proper guidance, he would have left when he was ready and not had some predetermined date. Thats obviously notnwhat was best for him. He wouldnhave had a good chance to improve and get drafted next year. Plus it would have been a turning point for the program. Its all been part of my criticism of gottfried for the high, yet unnecessary rate of turnover we have had with players leaving. Warren being the one outlier who made the right decision. Can you please find me another program that has this sort of thing go on for this long with this many players?

I think those that believe Paige is a good 3pt shooter are fixated on 3 years ago. Paige was garbage 2 years ago and this past year he was extremely inconsistent. Hell some UNC fans were calling for him to find the bench because he had long stretches of being ice cold.

Barber is a better athlete, better scorer, and better defender. I don't care about "winners", I've seen too many dudes from UK and other big schools slide down the draft board for that to matter a ton.

I also think Cat got some unfair labels because he opted not to come back. People claiming he was scare of losing his spot to DSJ, haha, just awful logic. The dude has a kid and needs money, how would that be viewed a detrimental to his character or have anything to do with putting the team first?

Except he's not a better defender. Neither are particularly good at it. Plus Barber will have a tough time challenging jump shooters because of his lack of length (Paige measured an inch shorter than Barber at the combine, but has an inch longer wingspan). Also, Paige's bad season of shooting was still as good as Barber's best.

I don't think those labels had anything to do with him not getting drafted. I think it had everything to do with being a small, score-first point guard with questions about his shooting and passing/court vision.

yea i was curious if he was hurt or if they just wanted to give russel and ingram as much time as possible. lakers had a big lead and he still didnt get in.

Cat was playing to much like college, trying to get that midrange jumper, which wasnt falling, and not going to the rim.
