I thought we tried to lean a little too much on Burns in OT. Not sure what the alternative would’ve been (I’m not the coach!). But Mo and Ben provided solid D and rebounding which did allow us to get some into a little bit of transition when we made our run. They don’t provide much offense though.

I made a business decision to watch the hurricanes game once it started at 7:30. No regrets.

I'm glad i didn't have to watch UVA play overly physically defense against a team that did not shoot many 3s and only get called for 7 fouls the entire game including overtime. Just ridiculous.

Yeah that was about to get ugly. Had all the makings of a 20+ point loss. I wanted to turn it off. But KK teams rarely quit. And that’s a pretty awesome thing when we’ve had some teams that would just melt under pressure/adversity in the past. Unfortunately this team just doesn’t have enough ballers. This has been KKs best defensive team. Just sucks that it feels like his worst offensive team (don’t know if the stats back that up, but it’s what my eyes tell me)

I felt this same way too, and even before OT when a Middlebrooks(?) ORB saved him. I get that UVA was playing tough under the basket and there were some questionable non-calls, but if you can't buy a foul and you can't get a look, you gotta explore other options. And for the last 5-min of regulation and most of OT, Horne was the only one getting anything.

The lineup with Mo and Middlebrooks lacks offense but they rebounded and defended well and a few times that led to easy offense during our comeback. I said it last night but it feels like we have a team full of role players. Lots of good pieces. But we lack firepower on offense. Burns is good but it’d be preferable if our guards could create better rather than Burns being the first (and sometimes only) option when the offense really needs a bucket. Horne is solid but he is kinda small and outside of a floater, he really isn’t effective driving in the half court.
