most heels seem to look like nicer versions of stripper heels lately.

i'm fine with this trend.

Haha you are so awesome! I love the fact that you "hobble" around in your kitchen wearing them.

Coach did a shoe in that color last season and it was gorgeous (not to mention.. a really big hit). Yours are gonna be so awesome for fall though.

Here's the Hanna shoe by Coach:

and here is the shoe I am currently considering for fall.. it has a beautifully subtle metallic finish to the suede:

I have a pair of heels that's a color similar to those but a little more pink. My problem is I don't feel like they match very much. Or like anything, actually. I think shoes that are lighter than my outfit look weird (so don't want to wear them with brown or something) but if I am wearing a light outfit then I think the light shoes leave me washed out. What are you going to wear them with?

[Edited on September 14, 2010 at 10:25 AM. Reason : the nude ones]

Nude shoes can go in place of black shoes easily. They're basically just another neutral.

If you're wearing a really fun dress then nude can be even better than a black shoe because it won't be as distracting to the eye... but it will still be ultra chic and help with the overall flow of your look. Especially since a nude shoe can elongate your leg, I think that it is best worn with dresses and skirts.. but I've seen it paired nicely with even a really dark wash skinny jean.

I can see myself wearing them with jeans more than anything else. I am bad at being adventurous with clothing sometimes. I will rock a rainbow plaid floor-length dress (which I swear is not hideous like it sounds) but I get nude shoes and don't know what to do with myself. Someone come go through my closet and tell me how to dress myself, k?

Haven't found the right jeans (pretty much denim leggings is what I need) to wear with them yet

well the shorts was accidental not planned. There was a pair of cheer-wine suede knee-high boots I wanted about ~2 years ago. When i told her how amazing they were she went and bought them. I found them in her closet and said I was stealing them because she NEVER wears them. Anyway, it took me 10 minutes to get on the left boot, I busted the seam a little bit to do it. I figured I had to wear them for a few hours to hopefully stretch them out enough to be able to wear them again. I had showed up at my friends house wearing wearing shorts, top, scarf, and gladiator sandles so thats the story of how I ended up in shorts and boots

My girl parts are pissing me the hell off. I had my IUD taken out like 3 weeks ago. A few days later, I spotted and then practically hemorrhaged to the point that I was actually concerned. Here I am 2 weeks later about the time I might expect to ovulate, and I'm fucking bleeding again. What the hell? The ladies need to get their stuff together and get back on schedule.

Just in case anyone here is a thrift store shopper, like me -

Cause for Paws on South Saunders has TONS of J.Crew and Banana Republic stuff right now, and lots of other name brands, some still have tags. Saw some really adorable dress pants for around 8 bucks, and if you go on the right day they might be half off! (sales rotate daily) Sizes were between 4 and 8 for the BR and JC, saw lots of Express stuff in 10 and 12.

LunaK I LOVE those black shoes you posted earlier!!!

I just came back from an underwater hockey tournament and I won best swimsuit! That's me with the grey one, those are little pieces of sushi. Also there's writing in between the rows that says "Raw. Sophisticated"

got a new dress tonight on super clearance, only 20 bucks!
gonna wear it tomorrow for a date. I can't decide if it looks better with a belt or not. granted, my dress is a 22, not a 10 like this chick...

the shoes are going to be the biggest problem i think, not sure i've got anything great.

i know this is going to sound really gross....

the girl who did my keratin treatment told me the longer you can go without washing it, the longer it will last. she told me she went 2 weeks without washing hers.

so i had mine done tues of last week so i am on day 11 of not washing. ive been using the shit out of corn starch (its the same as dry shampoo except way cheaper and absolutely no scent)

ive gone this far, i can last another few days. i actually have a haircut scheduled for thursday so i was planning on just making that the day i break down & wash it

i think my hair looks better than it did right after the treatment. the ends don't look as fried although i still need to cut quite a bit off

^nice I like it. So with the keratin treatment, once you're able to wash it, do you just wash and go or do you still have to dry it straight? I'm always fascinated by this. My hair is wavy/limp curls and is easy to straighten, maybe ten to 15 minutes at the most, but it would be nice to just wash and step out of the shower and it just dry straight lol

minka i think it depends on your hair type. 15min is what i expect to spend WITH the keratin treatment so i'm not sure how much of a difference it would make for someone with just slightly wavy hair since you do have to do some work & its not really billed as a "wash n go" type treatment

maybe the express treatment iheartkisses posted would be better for you?

the biggest thing for me and what i<3k said right away is HUMIDITY does not exist in my hair's world anymore. even if i had to spend 45min (like i used to) to do my hair everyday, the fact that my hair won't frizz with the keratin treatment is worth $300 alone. (this is what treatments run in my area)

not to mention all the time & products i'd use to straighten my hair. if i straightened my hair 3 times a week at 45min a pop i'm spending 2.25 hours a week on that which is 9 hours a month.

keratin treatments will last 3-4 months and i'm hoping to ink 5 out of it...45 HOURS of my time saved during which i would otherwise be doing my hair, are you kidding me!!! SO worth it, it costs me LESS than minimum wage ($6.66 per hour) totally worth it

if you like leggings, try jeggings. they look like skinny jeans but legging stretch!!

i wore the dress with black hosiery-style leggings and tall boots and a leather jacket. i'm kind of tired of sticking belts on top of everything because i only have 3 or 4 and to me it looks like i'm always wearing the same thing.

i've actually tried on 'denim' leggings before and they weren't bad...i just thought they were a little odd since they were leggings that looked like jeans...

then the jeggings craze hit and i guess i should have gotten on the boat last winter when they were only $6 instead of $10

i really need to find some long sweaters to wear with them though

also...on a side note...i wonder how leggings and boots would look with those 2934738927 dresses i got from target this summer

k...i tried it....could this look work?

it's red so maybe a fall football outfit

depends on the length. if the dress is longer than 3-4 inches above the knee, match the color of the leggings with the boots. a contrasting color looks cute with shorter stuff, but just a thin stripe of different color will make your legs look oddly proportioned.

i found some dope blue cowboy boots on Etsy once...anyone know a good place that has cute cowboy (cowgirl, rather) boots? I want something unique, and ideally handmade....high quality as well. Any ideas?? I also want to see different ideas on what to wear with them. I like this idea of skirts and tights with them....maybe? It is rather warm here in texas year round- so I think I can rock the boots in the winter with a quasi-warm weather appeal.
