For those of you who have done the Keratin treatment, my sister is interested and has a few questions. She's getting married in a few weeks, and wants to get this done. Her hair will still curl right? She's got very thick, frizzy, wavy hair that holds a curl very very well. She'd like to cut down on the frizz (especially on her honeymoon), but doesn't want to lose the ability to curl her hair for her wedding day.

Thoughts?

I'm trying not to think about clothes until like, after christmas, because my basement needs some renovations and I probably have to buy some new tires for my car. however, I am going to try these boots since they are available in my size and on sale. are they terribly non-stylish?

I am the worst person to ask about fashion but I love ugly shoes like that!!! <<<3 I am assuming they are Danskos? I have always had a pure love relationship with those semi-nursing looking shoes.

Found some cute boots at Old Navy tonight, will probably go back to get them, so comfy.

But what can I wear them with? Will they still be approp with leggins and long shirts? lol

i don't like cowboy boots worn anyway except with jeans covering the shaft...

but then again that's because i wear them for work and not for fashion...

so i'll not be too helpful with that...

i have a hard enough time dressing myself so i shouldn't be offering fashion advice to anyone...

I understand that, jeans would work but you'd only see the bottom part which isn't as cute as the slouching part lol. Maybe tucking the jeans into the boots with long shirt?

i just don't like the slouchy part in general...or people wearing them with dresses, leggings, etc...but that's my own personal pet peeve with cowboy boots...

and i used to do all those things

this thread is my crack.

Those nurse dansko looking shoes are just nerdy enough to rock the shit out of. I'd have fun with those. Especially if you have the right legs.

my girl that did my treatment said that YES it will still curl & do what you want but it won't be exactly like before. the keratin will totally cut down on frizz but if she is worried about wedding hair she might want to wait until she gets back for the treatment just to be sure her pictures are exactly how she wants them (esp if she has already done the hair consult)

and like i said before, if she wants it to last she might want to build in more than 3 days without washing.

dear ladies and gentleman, I need help. I bought 3 pairs of shoes that I have never worn because I dont know what to put them with. The first two pairs are so "fancy-slutty" that I dont know what to match with them without looking, well, slutty. I might be able to wear them with jeans but that seems like a pain to wear them if the pant leg with cover them up. Help!

*note- I had to contort myself into some odd positions to take them with my cell phone camera so please excuse the twisting and other incongruities*

1) black michael kors: also, do these make my ankles look fat? Keep in mind the odd position thing

2) gold michael kors:

3) multi-colored shoes- has a really funky heel I like

ok, question:
for a funeral monday, is it still summery enough that I can avoid wearing hose/tights? The crowd, and family, are old, uptight, traditional, and baptist. Funeral and burial are in fayetteville; burial is in a military cemetery.

Skipping makeup is okay, as a family member of the deceased, yes?

Anyone have some size 8 wide black flat dress shoes I can borrow? I brought heels - but I sliced the everloving fuck out of my pinky toe the morning I came back to NC, and I'm a little worried about how that'll impact wearing my shoes

I like how the gold heels look on you because the brown tones them down enough. I would say simplistic dress (solid color) with gold statement jewelry?

Not a fan of the black. The gold/cork/black is trying to pull off wayyy too many looks which is why you're probably having trouble finding one that goes. BTW, cute dog face.

The green ones I would also say solid color dress that picks up one of the colors in the shoe or skinny jeans so you show off the shoe. Nothing too overwhelming because the heel is so chunky.

I hate to wear hose. And it's way too hot. I try to get away w/ it whenever I can. I think it depends on how tan your legs are currently and how long your dress is. If it's super strict, then you probably have to wear the dreaded hose....

1. black shoes: LOVE LOVE LOVE THESE! Would be super cute with a fun solid color mini dress (it'll elongate your legs so if you feel stubby wearing those shoes the shorter dress will help). maybe something fun like a jade green or a fuschia or a deep purple. I'm thinking one of those long sleeve mini dresses. I'll find some online to show you.

2. gold shoes: these are also equally as awesome. they would be fabulous cocktail shoes for a holiday party. again stick with bright colors - fuschia, darker pink, green, royal blue. these look more like summer shoes and would be great with a fun summer dress too.

3. green shoes: i would stick with someone more simple with this shoe since it's more of a "showpiece." you don't want to detract away from the shoe by making it compete with something else you're wearing. i would suggest treating the suede though - you dont want to ruin the shoe if you get stuck in some rain.

Wolfy, your hair looks great! As a heads up to all, I recently bought a keratin treatment through LivingSocial.com for just $99! Be sure to check out LivingSocial and Groupon for special salon deals.

Also ... HELP! Job interview next week! It's a Communications Manager position with hotel company that has a fairly young, hip corporate culture. I've got the suit and top, but need advice about accessorizing. Here are a few questions:

1) What kind of shoes should I wear? What size heel? Something basic or something a little more bold? Pointed toes or peep toes? What type of dress shoe is most in-style right now?
2) Hair down or pulled back in a tight chignon?
3) Which of the following necklaces should I wear? (my roomie is a jewelry stylist and has offered to loan me a few pieces)

i'd say the first or second for an interview. but i LOVE the third.

and you can do peep toe with a suit now...well depending on the interview but you said young/hip culture so i think it'd be fine. esp cause i know attorneys that wear peep toes to court so. i think i'd go with peep. or something funky with an accent. NOT TOO big of a heel though (height and chunkwise). i think heel height is the main thing when thinking about interview shoes EVEN FOR a fashion forward environment. there is sometimes a hazy line between professional and slut these days. so i'd keep it 3 inches or under. but that is just me
