Update: I now have Amazon Prime so I decided to give my search a shot on there. Apparently they have lots of French Connection dresses in small sizes with free 2-day shipping to me as well as free return shipping just in case they don't work out. I think I'm going to take my chance with a few. I'll update you guys on what I pick once I try a bunch on and figure out what my options are. I'm already starting to get less anxious... for a second there I was debating on showing up in the nude.

alright, so i miss my pink/blue/red hair terribly and since im at my uber conservative grad school at the moment dying it is not an option

so i did it.

i bought those clip in extensions in the crazy bright colors.
right now i have blue and red and i freaking love them.

yeah, you always have to walk in through the makeup. I've looked for spin pins the last couple times i was in a US walmart, but they were both under massive renovation and everything was in complete disarray. no spin pins for me yet however, my hair is long enough i can just twist it into the shape, throw on an elastic and it will stay for a few hours. still not the most attractive thing, i guess, but i hate futzing with bobby pins.

ambrosia: you chopped your hair off? did you ever post the results?





mine is hitting a couple inches above my waist now. the very back part gets so tangly just about instantly after i brush... the ends aren't messed up so I wish i knew what caused it. I guess the ends are a bit dry, they haven't been cut in a year. the tangling happens at the back of my neck first though. so frustrating! I guess brushing it every half an hour would solve the problem but some days i want to just put it in a ponytail and forget about it, and then I've got this rat's nest.

well, I've been trimming around my face, its just the longest tips that haven't been cut. but my friend looked at them the other day and said there's very few split ends. I haven't gotten it cut because i moved to a country where beauticians don't have to be licensed, and I hear horror stories everywhere.

i use a little bit of thermasilk on the ends every few times I wash. that stuff is so great. chi silk is good too, but it smells like man colone. it has kept my ends nice for this long. I know i need a trim, i just don't want anyone messing up my hair, cuz i need layers. i miss my old stylist, and i guess i'm holding out til i visit home again.


ambro you should get it cut short again for winter! short styles are always cuter and easier when you have to wear hats all the time.
